Dream...

I was in a white room, just standing. There was nothing besides me and it was eerily quiet except for a tapping.

Tap... tap... tap... tap...

Over and over and over the tapping went, never ending, never stopping. It was so infuriating, especially since I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. It was like it was calling me, but I had no idea where to.

"Hello...?" I call uncertainty.

All of a sudden, the hairs on my neck stand up and the right half of my body becomes cold: "boo," my own voice, although darker, whispers in my ear.

I turn and see me standing there, except it wasn't exactly me. She had her hair curled and dark make-up around her eyes, deep purple lipstick, and she was wearing a tight and short black lace dress with long sleeves and black suede pumps. I stare at her with furrowed eyebrows and a frown.

"Oh, come on, Eva, you aren't going to tell me you don't recognize me, are you?" she raises her eyebrow with a mean smirk.

"Well, obviously I recognize myself," I roll my eyes. "But... why the hell are you dressed like that?" I eye her outfit.

"Sexy, isn't it?" she does a twirl and giggles, although it sounds off... wrong.

"I don't understand," I admit, shaking my head. "What's going on?"

"You mean with little ol' me?" she smirks and I nod. "I'm what you try to hide in that pretty head of yours; all of your dark impulses, your secret desire to stop trying to be so fucking good and just let go, I'm what you shut away... even from yourself," she circles me slowly.

"Why are you here? Why now?"

"He's coming, darling," she strokes my cheek with her finger.

"Who is?" I ask as the tapping gets louder.

"If I told you that it wouldn't be as fun!" she throws her head back, laughing. "He's coming and he's going to set us free!"

"Yeah, like I'd let that happen," I roll my eyes, trying to block the tapping out. "Whoever the hell he is, he's going to have a hard time trying to let you out," I grit my teeth. "How do you even know this? You're in my head and I don't know about it," I point out.

"Because," she grips my chin, forcing me to look at her. "I'm the big Bad Wolf," she smirks, her eyes flashing gold. "Merlin, don't you remember what it was like... all that power?" she moans the word power.

"The Doctor took all of the vortex out of me, though," I frown, pulling out of her grasp.

"Oh, I know... honestly, what a buzzkill," she rolls her eyes. "But everything you saw, it was locked away, in here," she smirks, tapping her head. "You've always blocked this side of yourself out, ever since you were a girl... isn't that why you didn't want everyone to know how you turned the Daleks into dust, how it felt to completely obliterate them?" she twirls a piece of my hair between her fingers. "That little bit of power from the vortex gave me consciousness, gave your dark side a mind of its own, if you will... but I still need him to fully set us free," she sighs.
