The troops left, and the camp seems so empty. I walked over to the medical tent and greeted one of the nurses.

"Need any help?"

I needed to do something to keep my mind off of the gunshots and imminent death.

Alexander's point of view

New York City came into view. Redcoats has completely taken over the city and they've now taken over the homes of the citizens that live there.

We walk in silence. Anticipation was building up inside all of us. The only sound that could be heard was our own heartbeats.

It was silence then in less than a second, gunshots went off.

They saw us!

We scattered and entered into the city. I saw my fellow soldiers gunned down and killed beside me, but I kept going.

Only a few of us actually made it to the ships. Several soldiers were going up and down the planks, some carrying boxes, other carrying supplies like guns and ammo.

I looked around. Only one ship wasn't occupied. I did the only thing I could think of and I ran onboard. Once inside, I realized I was surrounded by cannons. With the few people that followed me, I unloaded and wheeled as many cannons I could into the nearby shelter.

Time skip

I unwrapped the bandages off of the arm of one of the wounded soldiers. It was still a little pink.

"A few more days and you should be good to go."

He smiled and thanked me. I put new bandages on and was moving on to the next patient when I heard footsteps outside. There were a lot of people.

I exited the tent and looked around. Washington was leading back his army. It was far smaller than before and I felt a pit form in my stomach.

I walked through the crowd, looking at all of the faces that passed. I felt my body relax when I finally saw who I was looking for. The gang had walked back together and were crowding around Alex congratulating him about something.

I pulled them all into a group hug.

"What's so exciting?"

Hercules turned to me for a brief moment.

"Hammy here stole a bunch of British cannons!"

He looked a little embarrassed from the attention, but excited none the less.

Our excitement was short lived. Alexander was in the midst of telling me the story when Washington walked up to us.

"Hamilton, I need to see you in my office after you get settled down."

We all gave each other nervous glances. I waited till he walked away to talk.

"What do you think he wants?"

"I'm not sure. Do you think I did something wrong?"
