Previously:
It was a long cart ride with a comfortable silence surrounding us. I was excited to finally be going to the Winters Ball.
Tonight will be great!
I didn't know how wrong I was.

Peggy's point of viewI saw carriage after carriage pull up, but none of them were what I was looking for. I was starting to get bored.
"Be patient, Peggy. She'll get here eventually."
My stupid sister interrupting my boring silence. It was my boring silence.
"I know. I just want her to get here already. You know what I'm talking about, right Eliza?"
Sister numéro deux was brushing her hair.
"I do know, but I also know that whining about something isn't going to make it happen."
I stuck my tongue out at her and looked back out the window. When I did, I saw who I was waiting for. My sisters jumped when I squealed and ran out the door.
"(Y/n)! It's about time."
I nearly knocked her over by giving her the biggest, strongest hug I could.
"Some of us didn't get ready beforehand and saved everything for the last minute."
One of the men accompanying (y/n) glared nastily at the rest of the group.
"Are these your friends?"
"No, they just followed me the whole way here."
I paused and stared at her.
"Wait, what?"
I saw her mentally face palm and chuckle.
"Sorry. Sarcasm is a big thing where I'm from. Yes, they are my friends."
I shrugged and grabbed her arm.
"Well they can meet you inside. We have to get you ready!"

(Y/n)'s point of view"Ow!"
Angelica apologized.
"Sorry, it's almost done."

The corset and dress are pulled so tight, you have to be able to see my individual organs. My hair is the same way. I think I'm bald at this point.
After what felt like hours of torture, they finished and I got to look in the mirror. My dress was a beautiful shade of (f/c) and it had intricate lace designs and gems scattered across it. My hair was pulled into a tight bun with flowers and more gems that matched my dress.
I don't even remember how painful it was before and still kind of is. It's all really beautiful.
Damn I clean up nicely!
