"I won't."

I drew in a deep breath and closed my eyes. Apathy filled the void in my stomach as I blocked out the sadness and anger that threatened to send me into another episode.

"Thank you."

Two weeks later

Cheers erupted throughout the hall. People were wearing fancy cloths, me included. I was one of the bridesmaids after all.

At the center of all of the excitement was Alexander and Elizabeth, now both Hamilton. Their wedding was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

The guests talked happily among each other, eagerly awaiting the toast.

The seating went from left to right with me, Peggy, Angelica, Eliza, Alex, John, Laf, and Herc.

After a long wait of anticipation and excitement, John stood up. The room went silent.

"Alex, we've been through hell together and let's face it, it's changed us for the better. I mean look at you. Here we are at your wedding."

He paused for dramatic effect.

"You are amazing at everything you do. I doubt this will be any different."

It was hard for me to tell what Freckles was feeling. After a short pause he turned to me and smiled. It was a genuine smile. He was happy.

"Now enough from me. Let's give it up for the maid of honor, Angelica Schuyler!"

The room clapped respectfully for a few moments then quieted down as Angelica stood and prepared herself.

"A toast to the groom, and the bride. I can't even imagine any couple happier than you two. To your union and the revolution. May you always follow your heart and fight to achieve success. May hope guide your path and light your lives for the many adventures yet to come. May you always be satisfied."

The room clapped, not noticing the silent tear rolling down her cheek. I put on a smile and clapped along with the crowd.

The reception was lovely and had many guests, gifts and congratulations. The food was a roast and some other sides I didn't bother identifying before shoving it down my throat. It was really really good, and I somehow managed to keep my manners while eating at the speed of light.

The dance was beautiful. An orchestra played beautiful music and I recognized it as the song that was playing at the ball.

That's adorable! It's the song they first danced to!

I smiled and sat off to the side watching. Bliss and comfort envelopes the room. For just a short while, everything was calm and happy.

The reception didn't last long. Everyone just congratulated the newly weds and went for a drink. Aaron Burr showed up at one point, but he didn't stay long. One after one, the guests left. Soon it was only the guys and the sisters left.

Alex called everyone except for the sisters out to the garden with him.

"I was going to wait till we go back to camp to tell everyone, but I can't wait any longer. I got a letter from Washington a few days ago. He want (y/n) to fight in our advance on Yorktown."
