Even my own voice felt foreign. I felt my heart beating in my ears. The scene around seemed to disintegrate as I felt several arms leading me away.

At last. I feel like I've finally made a difference. Lee has paid for his sins.

Hercules's point of view

Laurens was looking of into the distance, a blank expression on his face. We were back at Laf's house, but he still had the same look as he did right after the duel. I shook his arm.

"Hey buddy, you alright?"

He smiled briefly. It wasn't a real smile.

"Fine. I just thought justice would feel better."

I don't really know what to say to that, so I stayed silent. Alex on the other sat next to him and comforted him.

"You did the right thing. You truly did."

He nodded slowly. He looked around the room and an expression of concern plastered his face.

"Where's (y/n)?"

I chuckled a little bit.

"Well, while you were stuck inside that head of yours, (y/n) left."

"Where is she?"

"The only thing she said was she needed to catch up on a few things with some friends."

John looked skeptical.

"What friends? She wasn't here that long before she left for camp, right?"

Me, Alex and Laf exchanged glances. I merely shrugged.

As if on queue, (y/n) walked through the front door. She looked really excited about something.

"Guys, guess what!"

We all looked at each other, very confused. Alex was the only one who answered.

"You saw your friends?"

She nodded.

"Yes, but I meant something even better. I got all of us invites to the Schuyler's Winters Ball!"

(Y/n)'s point of view

The moment I said that, everyone started freaking out. They looked amazed, confused and excited all at once.

Alex paused his celebrating for a moment to face me.

"How did you manage that?"

"Well, long story short when I hurt my hand after Laf left, Angelica saw me and invited me over to help me. I stayed the night and we bonded. I went over to see her and her sisters to tell them about everything that happened while I was with you guys and they want to meet you, so they invited all of us!"

They were surprised at my story of how I became friends with the Schuyler sisters, but eventually just ended up being really excited.
