Chapter 15

"What is it?!" Dad and I say rushing in. Hera closes the ghost door and Kanaan looks down. Sabine and Zeb look away and chopper let's out a sad series of beeps. Ezra finally meets my eye and says "He's here." I step back and dad says "Who's back?" They all look away and I turn to dad and say in Rodiash "Maul. We need to go. I know your not all about revenge but he killed her. I need to see him suffer." Dad gives me a sad smile and says -in Rodiash- "I know. I want to see him to. Let's go." I nod and say "One," he smiles "Two." He says I nod and take a deep breath and Ahsoka walks up "Three." She whispers. I smile and we run up the stairs and jump up the ladder and off of the ghost. We keep running through the plains and down the streets. Kanaan might think he is the better Jedi than us but he's wrong. We jump on a roof to catch our breath. "I haven't felt that alive for years." Ahsoka says, I laugh and she looks at me and I know what she's thinking. "Dad." I say he nods and Ahsoka grabs my hand. "I like Ahsoka." I say he smiles and says "I know." Ahsoka and I look at each other and she says "You knew?" He smiles and says "Yes I knew. Ever since mandalore. I didn't want to bring it up because I wanted you to tell me yourself." I sigh and say "So your not mad." He laughs and says "No sweetie I'm not mad." I sigh and he says "You know Corrusaunt has some really cute foster kids." I laugh and Ahsoka says "Maybe once the war is done." I smile and lay down.

"Jinn, wake up. It's time to get moving. Your dad said that he saw something odd going into the empire building." I nod and sit up, we don't bother calling it the senate... it's not a senate anymore. A senate was a place where I could go for guidance from Padmè or my mother... but they're both gone. I grab Ahsoka's hand and we jump from roof to roof making sure we aren't seen. We catch up to my dad who is only two houses away from the Empire building. "'Cause every night I lie in bed The brightest colors fill my head A million dreams are keeping me awake" I hear him whisper. I smile and tap his shoulder. "Is he in there?" I ask. He nods and I say "Let's go." He nods and we jump off the roof and to the main roads. We run down the streets and inside the building, killing the clankers they have as guards. "I'll go straight, Ahsoka go left, and Jinn go right." Dad commands I nod and run down the right hallways. Tears burn my eyes as I pass Padmè and my mother's old offices. I throw people aside as I bolt down the hallway, I duck inside a office and there he is. "Oh miss Kenobi! How great it is to see you." Maul says, I meet eyes with the Alderaan girl -who looks no more than ten- in his grasp. "Let the little girl go, you know you want me." He nods and drops the girl. I pick her up and whisper in her ear "What's your name?" she whispers back "Leia Organa" I smile and look at her, she looks exactly like Padmè and Anakin. "Leia I have a Togruta friend down the hallways. Go run to her and say that "Jinn sent you okay?" she nods and I say "May the force be with you Leia." she smiles and runs off. "Now where were we?" He asks. I smile and say "Where I kill you, for my mother." he lunges towards me and I block it quickly and swiftly. I swing my lightsaber at him and he blocks it and then ignites his other blade. The growing heat in my stomach burns until he un-ignites it... when he does I fall to the ground. The last thing I hear is shouting from down the halls
