Chapter Seven: 'Don't Go'
"Morning, sleepy head" Ashton said with a smile, he placed a cup of coffee on the bed side table and watched as Luke's eyes fluttered open, "How'd you sleep?"
"F-fine" Luke croaked, he propped himself up on his elbows and smiled at Ashton taking in his appearance; scruffy bed hair, shirtless, low riding pajama bottoms, perfection.
"Can you remember what happened?" Ashton asked, Luke shook his head and looked at his lap, "It was the boys, I think, I mean that's what you said last night" Ashton explained, "Do you have any idea why they'd do this?" Luke was about to shake his head when his eyes lit up a little,
"I remember Zayn saying it was because they knew my secret, and because I got them in trouble with the headteacher, they want to get me back for it" he said without thinking,
"Secret?" Ashton asked resting his hand on Luke's knee,
"Yeah..." Luke replied knowing he'd have to tell him,
"Is it bad?" Ashton asked running over every possibility in his head,
"Not really"
"Well alright, you hungry?" Ashton asked clapping his hands together, Luke was surprised he didn't ask about his secret, he nodded and started to get out of bed, "No no, you stay here, I'll bring it to you, pancakes okay?" Luke smiled and nodded and watched as Ashton left the room, he fascinated him, he cared so much.
Ashton walked through his apartment, it was small but suited him perfectly, the kitchen and living room were attached together, separated in the middle by the breakfast bar, all sparkly black marble, there was little colour in his apartment but that's how he liked it. He made a few pancakes and drizzled toffee sauce over the top and carried the tray back down the narrow hall into the bedroom, "Here you go" he said, he placed the tray on Luke's lap and walked around the bed, he sat down and shuffled down a bit so he was semi-laying, "Oh, is this okay? Do you want me to get up?" he rushed,
"No no, don't be silly, it's your bed" Luke smiled, he started eating and looked at Ashton surprised,
"What? Is everything okay?" he asked worriedly,
"Fine, they're amazing, you're a good cook" Luke said eating some more, he couldn't get enough, he eventually finished and placed the tray on the floor beside the bed, "Thank you for that" he said, Ashton suddenly burst out in a fit of laughter and Luke just frowned, "Umm, is everything okay?" Ashton just nodded and tried to get words of sense out,
"You, you, you have, come here" he managed, it wasn't even that funny, he put his left hand onto Luke's cheek and wiped away some of the toffee sauce running from his lips, he traced Luke's lips with his thumb then brought it to his own lips, licking the sauce off but not breaking eye contact with Luke,
"H-have you, got it all?" Luke asked, his voice shaking,
"Let me see" Ashton whispered, he leaned in closer and tilted his head to the left slightly, Luke tilted his the other way instinctively, "I got it all" he whispered again, he ran his left hand through the back of Luke's hair and gripped it lightly, "Don't flinch, okay?" Ashton said as he looked Luke in the eyes, Luke nodded a little and before he had a chance to say anything, Ashton pressed his lips against Luke's lightly. It took a few seconds but Luke eventually shut his eyes, he parted his lips slightly and broke the kiss, he didn't open his eyes, instead he put his hands on Ashton's face and pulled him in close, this kiss was harder, more passionate and intense. Their lips moulded together and they were completely in sync, the grip Ashton had on Luke's hair got tighter and Luke wrapped his arms around Ashton's neck pulling him closer to him as he laid back down. Within minutes Ashton was pressed on top of him, their bodies moving together as the kiss grew more intense and forceful, like they had limited time when really, they had all the time in the world. Ashton stopped and broke the kiss suddenly, he jumped up off the bed and ran out of the room leaving Luke laying there, confused, breathless, upset and flustered.
"What are you doing? He's your student, for god sake" Ashton muttered to himself as he paced the living room, "He's 17, 17 and you're 20, not the biggest age gap and I mean I am a new- No not the point" he argued, he was staring at the floor when he realised how much he missed Luke's lips, the feel of Luke's bare chest against his own, the feel of Luke's strong arms wrapped around his back, it was as if nothing bad could happen while Luke was hugging him.
"Umm, is everything okay?" Luke asked quietly as he emerged into the room from the darkened hall, Ashton jumped a little and spun round to look at him,
"Fucking hell"
"What?"
"You scared me" Ashton panted a little,
"I'm gonna go home" Luke said looking at the floor, "Where did you put my shirts and bag?" he asked,
"Bathroom" Ashton said as he walked over to him, "It's just there, opposite the bedroom" Luke looked up at him and smiled, he turned to walk away but just as he was about to turn the handle he heard Ashton's voice, he couldn't make out the words so he looked down the small hall at him,
"Did you, say something?" Luke asked shyly, Ashton shook his head, "What did you say?" Luke asked with a friendlier tone,
"I, I just said-" Ashton's voice grew quieter again and Luke was confused,
"You need to speak up a little" Luke said stepping closer to him,
"Don't go" Ashton said walking up to him, he placed his hands on Luke's cheeks and kissed his lips lightly, "Stay here, with me, for the weekend?"
