Chapter Six: The Start of Something Amazing.

Friday, it was Friday and after what happened yesterday, Luke wasn't sure he wanted to go to English for the entire day, first lesson was awkward enough. He technically only had two lessons today; first and last, but he'd been spending second and third lessons in Ashton's classroom catching up on the work and he had no idea how to get out of those, he could go to the library but then if Ashton came looking for him that might cause awkward tension, he couldn't take the day off because he was already halfway to the classroom, "Suck it up Luke, he's probably forgotten about it anyway" he mumbled to himself as he walked through the hall, he was going to go to class early as usual but walked straight into Michael instead, "Oh, sorry"

"Watch where you're going, Lukey" Michael smirked, Luke was about to walk around him when Calum grabbed him by the throat and pushed him hard against the lockers,

"I'm sorry" Luke said again as he put his hands on Calum's to try and loosen his grip,

"Stop trying to get out, I'm not letting you go" Calum laughed, he tightened his grip a little and Zayn walked up behind them, he pulled his arm from his girlfriend's waist and laughed,

"Aww, he looks so scared" Zayn got close to him and whispered in his ear, "Beg" Luke looked confused,

"Wh-what?" he stuttered,

"I said, beg"

"P-please, let me go" Luke said, he wanted to cry, he never really cried but he wanted to this time,

"Leave him alone, Zayn"

"Perrie, stay out of this" he snapped, she looked at Luke sympathetically,

"P-please, Zayn" Luke said again, the bell sounded and Zayn cracked a smile,

"C'mon boys, we'll get him back later" Zayn said as he grabbed Perrie's hand, Luke took deep breaths and put his hand to his throat, he ran up the hall and into Ashton's classroom not even checking to see if he was in there, he slammed the door shut and turned so his back was against it, he looked at Ashton's desk straight ahead of him and noticed Ashton giving him a weird look,

"Umm, is everything okay?" Ashton asked, Luke nodded and sorted his collar out, the school had just switched so students didn't have to wear a uniform anymore, Luke was wearing a black t-shirt, black skinny jeans and all black converse, he had a red and black checked shirt on over the top of his t-shirt.

"Fine" he said trying to cover his neck, Ashton stood up, he was wearing a black shirt, tie and smart shoes as usual but there was something different; skinny jeans, jet black, tight, skinny jeans. He walked over to Luke and raised his eyebrows at him,

"What's wrong?" he asked, Luke pulled the collar of his shirt up a bit more and Ashton spotted it this time, he pulled the shirt off of Luke's shoulders and slightly tugged at the collar of his t-shirt, he noticed the marks on Luke's neck, "What happened? Who did this?" Ashton ask tilting Luke's head to the side slightly and running the fingers on his right hand over the bruises,

"No one" Luke asked, he didn't want Ashton to stop, the feel of Ashton's skin against his was always fiery and sent tingles through his body, Luke shut his eyes to avoid eye contact,

"Calum, Michael and Zayn?" Ashton asked accusingly, Luke kept his eyes closed but nodded, Ashton ran his fingers across Luke's jawline and then looked at him; eyes still shut, lips parted slightly, he looked so perfect. He turned and walked back to his desk, "Go home, I'll sign you in for last lesson" Luke looked up at him with a slight frown,

"Are you sure?" he asked adjusting his clothes, Ashton nodded and smiled at him, "Thank you" he said walking out of the classroom. Ashton shook his head and started his reports for the end of term, it wasn't far off now.

The hours flew past and he couldn't get Luke out of his head, he kept finding himself doodling his name on paper 'Ashton Hemmings' 'Luke Irwin' he looked at the paper and realised how mental he was being, he looked at the clock and noticed school let out two hours ago, he packed his stuff up and headed out of the classroom locking the door behind him, he was walking past the lockers when he realised there was blood on one, a lot of it too "450, that's Luke's locker?" he was worried now but he knew he shouldn't be, he left the school and walked through the dimly lit car park, it was dark already and he couldn't remember where he parked, he fumbled about for his keys and was about to unlock his black Mini Cooper when he heard a noise, he spun round but couldn't see anything, "Hello?" he called, still nothing. He brushed it off and carried on to his car; he heard the noise again, "Hello? Who's there?" he called, he looked around and realised it was coming from the bike sheds, with a confused look on his face he slowly made his way to them, he didn't expect what he saw. "Oh my god, Luke, are you okay?!" he sad dropping everything and falling to his knees beside Luke, he was curled up hugging his stomach, blood on his face and tears in his clothes,

"H-help" he managed to say, Ashton scooped him into his arms and took him to his car, laying him across the back seats he ran back to pick his stuff up, he was so flustered, he had no idea what to do.

"Wh-where am I?" Luke croaked as his eyes fluttered open, he realised he was laying in bed but it wasn't his own, he sat up and looked out of the window in front of him, there was a gorgeous view of London, he looked around the room, gun-metal-grey bed sheets, light grey walls, there was a lot of grey. The room wasn't exactly decorated, there was a TV on the wall opposite him, in between the two windows and under them were chest of drawers, there was a guitar laying on the floor surrounded by new strings and plectrums, he smirked a little. He looked to the door on his left and noticed Ashton standing there, he was shirtless but still wearing socks and skinny jeans, he was holding a glass of water,

"Here" he said quietly as he put it on the bedside table, he sat on the edge of the bed by Luke's knees, "How are you feeling?" he asked,

"I hurt, what happened? Where am I?" Luke asked, he was getting panicky now,

"Calm down, Luke, you're safe here. I don't know what happened though, I just found you" Ashton sounded upset,

"I, they, ouch ouch oh my god" Luke said quickly,

"Don't move too much, you're really hurt" Ashton said, he wanted to protect Luke, to make him feel better. "You have a sprained wrist, a fractured nose and a black eye, you've got so many bruises on your stomach and back and sides too" Ashton explained, Luke looked down as realised he was shirtless too, "I'm sorry, I had to take it off, it's just your shirt"

"Don't worry about it, I need to get home" Luke said, he was about to get out of bed when a sharp pain shot through him and he collapsed onto the floor, Ashton jumped up to help him and gently put him back into bed,

"Stay here tonight, there's no school tomorrow so I can take you home when you're feeling better?" Ashton asked, Luke nodded and picked up his phone,

"I'm gonna call my mum and tell her I'm at a friends or something, thank you, Ashton" Luke smiled, hearing Luke say his name made his heart melt,

"Okay, night Luke, sleep well" Ashton smiled as he walked out the room.

"Night Ash" Luke whispered when he was gone, he shuffled down in the bed and focused on Ashton's smile in his mind, it was the only thing stopping him from being in so much pain. After the weird and blunt phone call with his mum he laid down in the bed, it smelt just like Ashton, he loved the smell, he couldn't describe it but it was amazing.

Maybe this was the start of something amazing.
