Chapter 8

I flinched in pain again. I did as I had done the first time, but when I turned my head...

I only saw darkness with four horizontal lines of light, and a slight pressure around my eyes, as if something was covering them.

I then realized it was someone's hand.

"What did I just say?" Jin asked. I turned my head back towards him, and he removed his hand as I did.

Then I realized what he meant.

"You're trying to get me to not focus on what he's doing..." I said. Jin nodded.

"That's a good idea!" Hoseok stated. I smiled a little.

Then flinched again.

This time, I didn't look at my hand.

I only shut my eyes quickly then opened them again, looking right at Jin.

My eyes were definitely watering. 

So, I looked down and shut my eyes, telling myself, in my head, don't cry. Don't cry. This is not the time nor place. Don't!

After a few seconds, I managed to stop my eyes from watering. I just didn't bother to bring my head back up and look at someone.

It stayed like that; I flinched every now and then, didn't open my eyes or lift my head.

Eventually...

I heard a small piece of metal clatter on the floor.

"There." I heard Namjoon say, right after. "Done." I looked up at him. He was looking back at me, and his expression was worried.

To try and out him at ease by doing like I would usually do in a situation like this.

I smiled and said,

"Thank you."

He nodded. I seemed to have put him at ease a little bit.

I looked down at my hand.

My hand was stained red where the wound was, and it was only getting worse.

Hoseok's hand, which had been on my shoulder the whole time, squeezed my shoulder a bit.

I was frozen in place, for a few reasons;

One, I was worried about the fact that this was going to worry the members more.

Two, I was panicking about the fact that my hand was bleeding so much.

And three, I had no idea what to do or how I could stop my hand from bleeding. All of these thoughts went through my mind at once.

I had no idea what the others were doing, and I didn't check for some reason.

Just then, Yoongi came to see us.
