I couldn't believe someone just attacked me in my own home. granted this is Valentino house but he is my mate so What's his is mine. Pacing the floor I wait for Symphoni and Mateo  to get back. I've never missed Val so much, why would anyone want to attack me anyway.

Symphoni runs into the house coming towards me she grabs me by my shoulders looking me over "What the hell happened" she demands. "I'm really not sure" I tell her, "It felt like someone was watching me I turned but no one was there then all of a sudden this guy comes out of nowhere I threw him across the room and we started  fighting. I ended up blowing him up sorry I ruined you guys date I was just really scared and I didn't know if there were more of them." Mateo comes in towards the end of the story "Its okay it was smart of you to call us, I didn't think they would start sending people after you so soon, but I should have since Valentino's gone that was my bad" he say's. "Wait, what? who sent someone after me and why" I asked clearly confused what had I done. "More so what Val did in his grief he murdered his cousin causing a rift through the family his uncle is out for blood your blood". Mateo answers my question, no one had told me what happened with Samuel not that I asked but still and now Val's gone and people are trying to kill me this trip to Miami just keeps getting better note my sarcasm. 
I was in Val's and my room trying to relax but thoughts of the attack ran through my mind on a consent loop.  'Get a grip Delanei,  I walked out of the room I needed a distraction from all this. One thing for sure was that if anybody was going to be coming after me I wasn't going down without a fight.

Valentino"s POV

I've been here for days and I still don't know what the counsel has decided, I was getting tired of waiting around and I missed my mate something crazy. The only thing keeping me going was knowing that she was safe with Mateo and Symphoni, but I wouldn't be truly okay until she was back in my arms and this whole mess was over with. The door opens up and here comes two guards they chain my hands together I was pretty weak they feed me but no blood fulfilled my thirst like Delanei's. Walking into the chamber I wasn't sure if I would be coming back out but I was ready for all this it be over.The guards pushed me down to the ground face down as the chambers filled with the people who held my fate. I looked over to my father his face gave nothing away I turned my face toward my uncle "Valentino, you have taken the life of my only son, and for that I had wished to sentence you to death a son for a son". Gasping for my breath I was going to die I would never see Delanei again I was in full panic "However seeing as you were protecting your mate and we all agreed that had we been in your shoes we would have done the same so you have been pardoned." I looked up eyes filled with confusion but also hope that I had heard right I was being set free, "Really?" "Yes my son you are free to go return home to your mate " my father said giving me a proud smile. The chains were removed I headed to my room for a shower then I was on my way home. I picked my phone up to call Mateo and the girls to tell them  the goo news, not knowing someone had tried to kill my mate.

Unknown POV

I watched as Valentino mate walked around the house "such a pretty thing you are Delanei" smirking I follow her with my eyes taking in every curve she possessed. "See you soon beautiful" I say before disappearing just in time for her to turn and look in my direction.
