Chapter 16:
Rosie
"So where do you want to go? For our first date?" Noah plays with my hand. I grin, "oh I don't know. Just please don't say fancy dinner. That is so cliche. And I hate really cliche things." Noah chuckles, "and here I was going to treat my girl to an extremely fancy dinner." He puts an arm around my shoulder and I automatically lean into him. I missed this. I missed us. I know, crazy right? I was only eight, but I was madly in love with Noah Casanova.
"I think I know exactly where to take you." I meet his gaze, "where?" Noah shakes his head. "Oh no. I'm not telling you, it's a surprise." I roll my eyes. "So cliche!"
"Fine then. I won't take you anywhere. How about instead we go talk to my mom?" My face pales. Last time I talked to Cassy, I told her how much I hated her son. Cassy seeing me and Noah can't possibly be good. "Okay fine. I'm sorry!" Noah smirks for a moment, then his face hardens. "You know we have to tell her Rosie. Tell her and your mom." I sigh and Noah plays with my hand again. "I know. I'm just-" I shake my head.
"No tell me. You're what?"
"Scared." I whisper.
"Trust me. Cassy isn't mad at you. Why would she be?"
"And what about my mom? I know for a fact that she's still mad." The lady can hold a grudge. Noah kisses my forehead. "We'll get through this. I promise."

Noah picks me up Friday night at 7:30. Late March proving to be great weather. Of course I told mom I was going out with a friend. But wearing a chic striped bodycon dress was making it impossible for her to believe me. As always, Noah waits in his truck and I hop in. I didn't bring a sweater, and it's actually chilly outside. I don't miss Noah's eyes roaming. "I didn't know what we were going to do. So I just dressed up." I hesitate. "This is silly. I shouldn't have worn a dress." Noah tilts my chin up so I can meet his eyes. "No that's perfect. You look beautiful." I blush at the compliment.
Noah takes me to a place I didn't expect. A park. "I hope this isn't too cliche for you." He jokes. "Do you know what this park reminds me of?" Noah says as we continue walking down the sidewalk. "It reminds me of that time you fell off the swing. And I rushed to your side, only to be greeted by your beautiful hazel eyes. God, I remember that I really liked you at that time."
My cheeks turn even more pink than earlier. "So that's why you followed me around like a lost puppy." I joke. Noah chuckles before wrapping his arms around my waist and bringing me closer to him. "Yeah I was kind of crazy about you back then." His eyes bore into my eyes. "And I still am Rosie." He leans in and kisses me. But this kiss isn't like any other he's placed on me. This kiss feels...blissful. It doesn't feel wrong. Of course, this kiss was gentle, sweet. Noah didn't push it.

Noah
It's 8:30, perfect timing. "Do you mind if I ask you to stay at my place for a little while. I promise to get you home by 11:00." A smile tugs at her lips, "okay. Let me just call my mom. Oh an if she asks, I'm at Amelia's." I smile. Like Rosie's mom would ever talk to me. She still hates my guts.

Nothing is better than having Rosie Holloway on my bed. Even if all we were doing was talking and sitting on the bed. I hear a car pull up. Just in time. The front door opens. "Noah honey, I'm home." I hear Rosie let out a small squeal. "You didn't tell me your mom was going to be here before 11:00!"
I take her hand. "Relax. Don't you think it's time to tell at least my mom?" She looks about ready to have a panic attack. "Okay I'm sorry I ambushed you into this. If you want, I can sneak you out."
