Chapter 10:
Rosie
"What crawled out of a horror movie and into your ass this morning? Rose, you look like a damn zombie."
I smile at Noah. "Wow you really made my day." I say sarcastically. "No I couldn't sleep last night." Noah looks at me, "continue." I smile again, "well for starters I had a sucky date."
"You went on a date? With who?" I could hear Noah's anger. "A date as friends with Aaron. But he's too good for me. And he took me to an over the top dinner."
Noah's jaw clenched, "did you like going to a swanky restaurant?" I shake my head "of course not. You should know better than anyone that I don't do fancy things. I'm cool with just a simple walk in the park." Noah's jaw unclenches but he still looks unstable. "Listen, I gotta go somewhere. I'll see you in a bit."
Noah looked about ready to kill someone. Then, his expression changed and it looked as if he wanted to kiss me or hug me and never let go. And maybe I wanted that.
Noah
She went on a fucking date. Why would she go on a date? Better yet, why should I care? Jealousy creeps through every ounce of my body. But I shouldn't care. We're not dating so she can go out if she wants. But yet here I am about to argue with Rosie when wet should be discussing about the dance. I sit across from her. "Why did you go on a date?" She shrugged, "why not?"
"Really Rosie? So you just went on a date with some guy while you have feelings for someone else."
"Look Noah! I never told you I liked you. It was just a kiss, a kiss that shouldn't have happened. So you can stop treating it like it was something special because it wasn't!" Shit, shit, shit! Now I'm really fucking up. "I'm sorry Rosie. I was just-" I was just jealous that man got to take you somewhere. Got you to smile and laugh.
"It's...whatever. Listen, umm, is it ok if we don't practice today? I promised Amelia we'd go shopping today after school." A day without holding Rosie close to me? "Okay. That's fine." Her beautiful hazel eyes widen. "Oh my gosh. I didn't think you'd agree. Thank you." She gives me a quick hug. She pulls away too soon, making me want more. What is it about her that fills me up?
The bell rings for school to end and Rosie bolts out the door. I have to get that girl out of my head.
Rosie
I pull my jacket closer as the cold winter hints to begin. "Thanks for agreeing to take me to the mall." I nod as Amelia and I walk over to my motorcycle. "Man I gotta convince my mom to buy me a sick ride like yours. This shit is cool." We get on.
"Yeah well you better hold on tight because this baby loves to go fast. How far is the mall?"
"Umm...about some forty minutes from here. I'll give you the directions. I start my motorcycle. "Ok. Let's go."

I check my phone. A text from Noah. Eh I'll read it later, I'm more interested in the time, 6:10. Shit. We've been shopping for about an hour and a half. "Okay I promise this will be the last shop." We walk into H&M. "So the winter dance is coming up and I am so going to find you the perfect dress! I'm sure Mr. Boy Toy is going to ask you to the dance. You have to look totally hot for him." Of course, she's referring to Noah.
"Please, don't make me gag." Amelia doesn't take her eyes off clothes. She's really trying hard to find me a dress. "Don't tell me you don't have the hots for him. I mean, you like him don't you?"
"I don't know. I-" like him? It's way more complicated than that. "OMG!! This dress is perfect for you!" Amelia runs to grab a black bandeau dress. "Here go try it on." She rushes me into a fitting room as she waits outside. I slip on the dress. Fits perfectly. I come out to show Amelia. "Oh my gosh! Noah is going to freak when he sees you in this!" I adjust the dress. "Really? My boobs are basically all out."
"Exactly! He'll faint after seeing that much cleavage. Hey if you can't afford it, I'll buy it for you. My dad gave me my allowance for the month just yesterday. I can pay for both our dresses."
I raise an eyebrow, "you have a dress?" Amelia pushes me back into my fitting room. "Yes I put it on hold. Now hurry up and get changed." Amelia bought me that dress just like she said and I promised I'd pay her back. Amelia showed me her dress which was a black bustier dress that was shorter than mine. But hers wasn't strapless. I dropped Amelia off at her place with a "thank you" and I drove to my own house.
I was so tired from shopping, I went up the stairs and it was barely 8:45, even Lewis was still up. Thank goodness tomorrow's the weekend. I grab my phone to read Noah's text. Noah: Still up for practice tomorrow? Me: definitely
So I guess that meant he wasn't picking me up. I'm falling for Noah Casanova, hard. And the landing might not be so soft.
