Shaynes POV

I put my phone down and started to cry. I didn't know if I would ever get Damien back.

I loved him though, I was just in the moment and I couldn't come back from it.

Two days later

I heard a knock on the door and opened it. I saw my mom dirty, tired, and barely standing. She walked in and just crashed on the couch. Who can blame her? She walked for two days just to get away from her abusing ex-husband.

I got a job at the Coffee shop where me and Olivia met up again. I was a barista across from the gas station, that fucking gas station. The place where I made the worst decision of my life.

It was early and I got on my coffee shop uniform. I drove off to the place

"She's one of those girls, nothin but trouble. Just one look, and now you're seeing double. Before you know it she'll be gone, off to the next one." I sang on the way to my job

I got to the place and I also convinced Courtney to join.

"Hey Court. What's wrong" she had sleepy, guilt filled, tears eyes.

"I told Wahlid and he broke up with me."

I hugged her, to try and make her feel better.

"If he really loved you, you would still be together. You didn't need him anyway."

"Thanks Shayne. I'm glad you convinced me to work here."

"Well we needed the money."

Our first costumer came in and we served their coffee.

I wonder how Mom was doing? Probably still sleeping
