Shaynes POV

Next day at school

I was with Damien and we were walking down the hall. I didn't tell him about what happened with my dad.

It was the end of the day. We didn't have practice today.

That's when I saw a poster for the talent show.

"Hey Dames"

"What Shayne"

"Do you think we could maybe do a duet or something"

"For what?"

"For the talent show!"

"Sure what would we sing"

"I don't know yet but I'll figure something out"

We both picked up the pen and wrote our names on the sheet.

I turned around after I signed my name. Damien did it too and he just looked so pretty right now. I pulled his face in for a quick kiss and I left.

Back at home

I got home and I saw my step dad asleep on the couch. As quietly as I could I creeped up the steps into my room.

Talent show

I was with Damien and he brought his guitar. I was a bit nervous. He kissed me and told me we were going to be great.

We got on stage and sat down in our chairs. He played the first few notes and I took a breathe.

"Stealing kisses from your misses doesn't make you freak out" I sang

"Got you fussing got you worried scared to let your guard down" he sang

"Tell the neighbors I'm not sorry if I'm breaking walls down"

"Building your girls story ripping all your floors out"

Then we both sang

"Saw your face heard your name. Gotta get with you. Girls like girls like boys do"

We finished and the clapping started. All the nervousness was now gone.
