I was frozen, I was forgetting just to breathe. I didn't have many memories of my childhood, but one of the things that stuck with me when other things faded was a glimpse of a wooden number 7. It was faded and splintering, but you could still read it. I felt like the biggest idiot there ever was for not making that connection sooner.

"Are you all right?" Meza asked putting her hand on my shoulder. I jumped and she pulled her hand back.

"You do not have to come with us this time." Keecho said, I shook my head and cleared my throat, willing my voice to not shake.

"I-I'll come with you."

"'Kay." Meza said, her voice cold and calm. She reached under her arm and pulled out a pistol from a holster. "Gonna need this." She handed it to me and I just held it awkwardly. She smiled and took it back from me. With her hand on my shoulder she turned me around and I felt her put it in the back of my pants. It was small and light and I barely felt it.

Than there was a knock at the door.

"Come in." Keecho said. A woman in an apron nervously walked in, she bent at her waist and held out a letter in her hands. Keecho took it and dismissed the lady. Keecho opened it and I watched his eyes scan over it. He handed it to Meza and she quickly read it, too.

Feeling very jealous,  I demanded, "What does it say!"

"Basically," Meza started, "it says that big boss dude of Over-Ripe Fruit wants to 'have a friendly chat'." She said, using air quotes around 'have a friendly chat'.

"When?" I asked, hesitantly.

"Tonight." Keecho responded.

"Wonder if Dirt-bag and his poise are coming, too." Meza said.

"He will or Crimson Flower will need a new head." Keecho said walking away.

Everyone was silent the ride over to the docs. After we got out of the car we spotted Darer and Narion walking towards the boat. We walked over still without a word, Darer was the one to break the silence.

"So. Ya' think it's a trap?" He asked.

"Of course." Was the only response, from Meza.

We all got in a small boat, that took us to the leader's bigger yacht. We got on the yacht and were immediately handed a drink. Narion looked at it for a second, shrugged, and downed whatever was in the glass. Meza and Darer didn't even think twice, before downing the whole glass. Keecho set his down and I followed.

We were lead deeper into the ship, climbing a few staircases along the way until we were at the top. The wind was strong and cold as it whipped by me. The boat wasn't lit at the top, the only light source we had was the lights below us and the city's sleepless shine. There was a slender figure at the edge of the rail.

It turned around and I saw it clearer. It was female and in a long dark dress, with a glass in her hand.

"Welcome." She said her voice was soft and sweet. "Feel free to come closer, I don't bite."

"Why did you call us here?" Keecho asked as we spread out around the deck.

"A little birdy told me that the two top gangs, were looking into little old me." She said in a suspiciously sweet voice. I heard Meza grind her teeth when she mentioned 'a little birdy'.

"So you're the leader." Darer said.

"Yep. And I've got to say, it's nice to be at the top!" She laughed, she seemed sweet but I still didn't trust her.

"Amen sista!" Darer said, he was playing along with her games. Though, he probably wouldn't do it without a good reason. One that I didn't know about.

"Wanna know somethin'?" She asked, calming down. "I use to think you guys were really scary and not to be crossed, but the fact that you came here means that you're not as scary as everyone makes you out to be." Her laugh started with a small giggle, than it grew to full laughter and soon she was laughing like a mad man. Shortly there after, around 15 men rushed onto the deck. They raised their guns but before they could shoot Narion had defeated all of them and threw them off the deck's side. I looked back at the lady she was still laughing, but now she had Meza's razor-sharp tail to her neck.

"Shut up, bitch. Or else I hope you have a good back-up plan." Meza threatened, her eyes were pure radioactive green, like her hair. She didn't shut up and soon her blood stained the wooden planks.

I watched the whole thing, I didn't even flinch when her head hit the floor. That realization was what induced the tears brimming at my eyes. When I turned back to Narion his silhouette had changed, now it was bigger and had what looked like horns.

More loud foot steps pounded up the stairs and Narion and Meza flew straight at them. Screams and loud splatters followed. Keecho and Darer had drawn their guns and I reached for mine, I fumbled getting it out of my belt, but eventually I got it out. We followed their path of death out into the main deck.

Bullets ripped through the air as we ran, they just bounced off of Meza and Narion shielding us. The few left behind Keecho and Darer handled. A man ran out of a room closest to me and, without thinking, I pointed the gun at him and pulled the trigger. It hit his stomach and he keeled over in pain.

The boat was rocking with all the commotion and no one could walk straight. I bounced off the sides and fell on the floor. I ducked as more and more men run out of different rooms. I covered my ringing head with my arms as a bullet whizzed by, I flinched as it nicked my arm.

I looked up and saw Keecho gripping his leg, blood was dripping through his fingers and onto his expensive suit. The boat jerked violently and he was thrown against the rail. A man ran and tackled him, sending both of them over the side of the ship and into the water.
