Lost Kitten [Completed]

Trust

Morning came and Meza woke me up telling me that Levi came to see me. I got dressed and went down to see him he smiled at me and held his hand out. I just looked at it, then back up to him. I did that few more times as a couple of minutes passed in silence.

Then I finally spoke up, "What do you want me to do?"

"Shake my hand."

"Oh," I felt stupid, but still shook his hand.

"Keecho called me over to update you on the case."

"Okay."

"First off, we were broken into, as you must know, and had about a million dollars worth of guns and ammo." I nodded to show that I was listening, "I have the crime scene photos here, make what you can out of them." Levi handed me a tan folder with pictures poking out the sides. I opened it, inside there were 3 pictures. One of the truck that got broken into, one of Levi's dead men, plus the driver, and the last one of the sniper on the roof.

"Well..." I start, "I think it was an inside job."

Levi looked absolutely shocked, probably because one of his men most likely betrayed him, then said, "Why would you think that?"

"Well the lock doesn't look like it was broken into, it looks like it was unlocked, and why wouldn't the sniper fire at the intruder if it was someone he didn't know?"

"I guess you're right, how did you know that stuff?"

"I had an owner once who taught me all this stuff. I think he was a teacher, because he did love to hear himself speak." I answered, leaving out the part about how the only time I could get him to shut up was when we had sex.

"Oh, well back on topic. How high up on the chain of command do you think he would have to be?"

"At the top or close to it. Who is your second in command?"

"My assistant, Mary."

"Okay, now we have our first suspect, I'll report the new information to Keecho."

"That's okay, I'll do it. I'll probably see him sooner then you."

"'Kay. See you later then." With that he got up and walked out the door.

I smiled to myself and thought, 'This is fun I should do it more.' I then took out my phone and texted Keecho that we have 2 new suspects. The real reason I wanted to tell Keecho myself was, that Levi is a suspect too.

'Who?' He texted back.

'Levi and Mary'

'So you think it's an inside job?'

'Yes'

'Good, inform me on everything when I get back.'

'Okay'. I put my phone down and flop on the couch. I'm relaxing until I see a pair of ears pop up behind the glass of the window. Both of them were black with white insides. I got up and opened the window, a blur of black and white jumped inside. I found out it was a cat. 'So cute.' I thought.

"Hello, do you have a name?" She shook her head, "Would you like one?" Nod, "Okay... how about Teachi?" Nod, "Great! Now you need a snack, let's go to the kitchen." I picked her up and immediately regretted it, she stank, "Never mind you need a bath more." I carried her to my bathroom and set Teachi down in the tub. Then turned the water on and got to washing every inch of her, she hissed at me and I hissed back, finally I was done and she was clean. So I picked her back up, dried her then carried her back to the kitchen and grabbed her some meat. Then set Teachi down on the counter and the meat in front of her. She hungrily ate all the food, she reminded me of myself when Keecho first took me in. While I was daydreaming about Keecho, Teachi had finished her food and was nudging at my arm. I snapped out of it and picked her up, then walked into the living room. I sat down with her on my lap and turned on the T.V. I watched shows until the door opened.

"Keecho!" I shouted tackling him, "I missed you!"

"I missed you too, who's that on the couch?" He asked.

"My new friend. Her name is Teachi. Teachi Keecho, Keecho Teachi." I gestured to each of them with I introduced them. They glared at each other for a second basically reading each other's thoughts, "Um... well..." I said looking for a conversion starter, "Oh! I still need to update you on the case, lets do that in the room." I said grabbing Keecho's wrist and trying to drag him to the room, but I failed.

"Okay," he said letting me pull him.

Once we got to the room, I sat down and said, "I believe it's an inside job because the criminal knew the code and the sniper didn't shoot him." He nodded, putting a hand to his chin.

"What will we do about that?" He mumbled to himself. "Hmm, that seems like a good idea. Yoru."

"Yes!" I said sitting straight up.

"I want you to investigate Levi, but make it seem like you're following a lead. Got it?" I nodded, "Good, now get some sleep you must be tired, plus you and Levi are going to investigate more tomorrow."

"Goodnight," I said yawning and letting Keecho tuck me in.

he next morning the beeping of my phone woke me up. I hopped out of bed and threw on my jeans, a black shirt, and some white shoes. I met Levi at the lobby and we left the building to follow the lead he found. He said that the stolen goods would be at this shed by the docks.

We drove there in silence, both excited to got there.

"Ready?" He asked, waiting by the door.

"Yes." I answered, nervously.

"You first," he held the door open for me and I walked in.

The door closed and... WHACK! Was the last thing I heard before my head hit the floor.
