"(Y/N), follow the staff to the shelter on the lowest level," my dad said in the steely cold voice that he used when there was no room for discussion, "Peter and I are going out."

I decided to discuss. "Peter can't fight!" I protested, "he was barely cleared to walk!"

"This is not a debatable situation," my dad's voice was scarily level.

"But-" I started, but Peter touched my shoulder.

"Mr. Stark, I'll make sure that she makes it to the shelter. I'll meet you outside," he said, almost a different person than he was only minutes ago.

"If you're not out in 5 minutes you better have passed out," My dad nodded and was gone.

"Peter," I begged him with my eyes the second Tony was gone.

"(Y/N), I have to go. I don't want to leave you any more than you want me to go, but this has been my job for 3 years. Please just go," he pleaded.

"Peter, you promised to stay in sight," I almost whispered, not meeting his eyes.

"I will, (Y/N), I will come back to you," Peter lifted my chin up to meet my eyes.

  "Promise?"

Peter nodded and placed a gentle kiss on my lips that sealed the deal.

"Okay," I wiped a stray tear from my face.

"I'll be fine," he whispered one last time before he turned and ran for the nearest exit.

In a daze, I followed a staff member down into the bunker. I sat down in the nearest vacated spot on the floor by a few carts full of first aid kits and other medicines. No one spoke to me for a while, until some girl with a cast and crutches hobbled over to me.

"Are you okay? You don't look okay," she said bluntly.

"Um- I'm okay..?" I looked up from my shoes that I had been blindly staring at for probably an hour.

"You're lying," she stated, "can I sit?"

"Sure," I scooted over to give her room.

After easing herself down she didn't say anything. She looked about 16 or so, but I could tell by her uniquely green eyes that she'd been through more than the average 16-year-old. Her dirty blond hair was thrown up in a bun with wispy strands framing her cheerful, freckled face.

"Hi, I'm Elizabeth, and if I ask you how you are again, will you tell me the truth?" She asked, somehow still polity despite the prying nature of the question.

"Sure," I sighed. I didn't think she would rest until I was honest.

"Good. How are you-" Elizabeth paused.

  "(Y/N)," I supplied.

  "How are you, (Y/N)?"

I thought for a few seconds. "I'm anxious, scared, and impatient to get out of here to find someone."

"Who's this someone?" She asked, interest peeked.

"Well, he confused his undying love to me last week and then basically asked me to be his girlfriend yesterday, and now he's off somewhere fighting some guy who won't leave him alone."

  "Are you his girlfriend?"

  I nodded.

"Oh, I guess that makes this situation harder because of that," she nodded knowingly.

A comfortable silecne elapsed briefly before she spoke up.

"Your boyfriend is fighting Void, isn't he?" Elizabeth asked out of nowhere.

"Maybe..?" I said, very unsure of what would reveal who my boyfriend was.

"I'm sorry, it's all my fault that he's here," she said, all the cheer gone from her.

"What? How could it be your fault?" I turned to face her, but I never got an answer.

The bunker door blew open and Void strolled in. He was dressed in a black armor with purple glowing wires running through it, his face was covered with almost a bootleg Ironman mask that was similar to his armor.

"Where is she?!" His voice boomed, cleverly distorted from under the mask.

The only answer was people gasping, children crying, and nurses trying to calm everyone down.

"Wher is my Elizabeth and that Stark girl!?" He asked again, louder.

Before I could connect the dots to 'his Elizabeth' being the Elizabeth I barely knew, she was on her feet, well, foot.

"I'm here," her voice was steady.

"Where is the other," he snarled through the mask.

"Does she matter? You know if you managed to find and take her you'd just bring the rath of Tony and the Avengers down on yourself and you'd be dead in 24 hours," Elizabeth responded coolly. It surprised me how confident she was even with a broken leg and no crutches.

Something flashed in Void's eyes that glimmered intelligently through his mask, but he said nothing. Everyone stood frozen as he, too, stood still.  As if triggered by something, Void unfroze, grabbed Elizabeth roughly, and was gone.

No one moved as if everyone was in denial as to what just happened. It was painfully quiet until a certain webbed superhero stumbled in. I could tell by his un-even stride that he was in pain and shouldn't be walking. He must have had to remove his ankle and arm cast and that wasn't exactly recommended even with his sped-up healing.

"Is everyone okay?" He managed to ask through his panting.

It took anyone a few seconds to replay. "Void took-took some girl named-" The nurse who had spoken up looked around for some help.

"Elizabeth," I stood up from my corner, "her name is Elizabeth."

"He took her?!" Surprise was clear in Peter's masked voice.

"He demanded to know where she and Tony Stark's daughter was, but-but he couldn't find the Stark girl so he just took her," The nurse answered.

Peter immediately looked at me when I was mentioned like he didn't believe that I hadn't been taken. "Well, I need to take (Y/N) to safety if Void is demanding for her," he addressed me, "Come with me."

I nodded and took his outstretched hand.

"I kept my promise," he whispered.

  I smiled, "You did."
