Hanging dangerously far out the window, I looked widely around. The only bright side of the situation was there wasn't a Peter Parker-shaped body splattered at the bottom of the 3-story drop between the two hotels. Did I mention that the view out our window looked just like a New York view of brick walls? Giving up, I pulled myself back into the room and sat dejectedly on the floor.

"Why is this happening right now," I groaned. "Please don't let this have anything to do with this stupid robbery," I pleaded to anyone listening.

Okay, snap out of it, I tried to convince myself, this has nothing to do with Peter and everyone will be fine. Just look back out the window again.

I peer-pressured myself into getting off the hotel room floor, so I did. Leaning out the window again I tried to look more intently. In the middle of this, I almost didn't notice the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man perched on the roof.

"Oh thank my dad," breathed. "Hey!" I called across the gap.

Spiderman's head shot quickly up and his body fell into a defensive stance that I knew so well from watching my dad fight. He relaxed when he saw it was just me, a normal and defenseless girl.

"My best friend Peter Parker is missing, he's hurt-" I added because it felt like I should-" and I'm really worried about him. He has brown hair, he's my age - 18- and 3 inches taller than me, and, I don't know."

  He didn't respond, just nodded.

"So if you -um- see him, please tell him to get his ass back over here."

I could have sworn he laughed, before nodding again, saluting me, and swing away.

The fangirl in me should have been having an emotional breakdown due to the fact that just actually talked to the Spiderman, but I was too stressed out about Peter to let her out. Again, I sank back down on the floor and let my head fall into my hands. I knew I shouldn't be getting this worked up over the fact that Peter wasn't there. He could just be downstairs and he had opened the window and left it open because he was warm, or just wanted some air movement.

Almost desperately, I clicked open my phone to check it. No notifications blocked my lock screen. I was about to text him, but I decided against it. It wasn't my business to know where he was at all times. I wasn't his girlfriend or mom so why should I be checking in on him. If he wanted me to know where he was, he would tell me.

I turned the tv on for the sole purpose of background noise to hopefully calm me down, but the news was still on. I had nothing better to do and my anxiety couldn't get any worse so I sat down to watch.

"-name has been released with the information-" the newsman looked down at the notes-"He calls himself Void."

Sorry for how short this one is.
