Chapter 06- Two Can Play This Game

Recap- Suddenly, I felt her chest hit mine making her gasp. I know what she'll do now. She slowly let go of my hand and turned around with her back facing my front. I slowly slid my left arm around her shoulder and right arm around her waist. I waited until her hands would hold my elbow and just like I expected, her hands held my elbow, to make it complete. This is how I used to hold her since we were kids.

*Colby/Seth's P.O.V*

"Arent you a genius?", she asked and I was confused at her question. I slowly looked down at her, though I couldnt see her, "What?", I asked, "All this time you were having your phone with you, why couldn't you switch ON the phone torch?", she asked and I looked ahead, then at her and then I nodded to myself muttering an 'oops' before taking my right hand off of her waist as I grabbed my phone and switching it ON.

A sigh of relief left from her mouth at the decent amount of light we got. My fingers were hovering over my phone, not knowing if I should switch ON the torch or not. If I did, then she will no more be in my arms. If I didnt, then she will be in my arms till god knows when. Damn it Colby! You hate her for fuck's sake!!

"Whats wrong?", she asked and I looked at her from the corner of my eyes to see her staring me, confused. I cleared my throat, "Err... My battery is about to die soo..", I reasoned hoping she would just nod because my phone had 87% of battery level.

"But-", "Not buts! Theres no charge so shut up and stay here or else I will switch off my phone, then god knows who might enter inside this elevator in this darkness!!", she gasped at my choice of words but thankfully she stayed silent making me bite my lips harder, not to smile. I knew that would shut her up. She is still the same Azra I knew.

You effing hate her Lopez!

My head was screaming at me to let her go, while my heart was saying to keep her closer. I dont know why, but my actions are following what my heart says.

Suddenly the lift shaked making me hold her tighter as a shrill left her mouth. We felt as if we were floating letting us know that the elevator has started working. Sierra squeeled in happiness, but I just couldnt be happy.

I thought this shitty elevator would stay put for a little longer. I should be happy and relieved that the elevator started working but why am I not?

The lights came back making Sierra leave a huge of sigh of relief making me grit my teeth, "You can let go of me you know", she said snapping me out of my trance making me sigh as I slowly, unwillingly let go of her.

Once she was out of my arms, I felt a strange emptiness consume me. The same emptiness I've been feeling since a year now. Slowly the usual anger and hatred made its way into me when I saw her smiling in happiness. My hands fisted in a ball wanting to punch something hard.

And slowly the elevator doors opened with a rush of securities and some workers. I gave them the hardest glare possible as they were apologizing over and over again for the "inconvenience" we faced. What made me furious was how Sierra was calm and smiling at them.

The elevator was stopped a little downward which means we have to step up to get to the floor. I hopped up with ease and looked at Sierra who was struggling to climb up with those huge ass heel thing.

I saw a security reaching his hand forward to help Sierra. I dont know what came over me, "Hey look!", I exclaimed pointing at the left for which the security guy looked to the left searching for what I pointed at.

I took that as an opportunity to reach my hand out to help Sierra climb up. She looked at me confused for which I pointed at my hand silently asking her to climb up holding my hand without another word.

She huffed and held onto my hand as I supported her upwards. The security looked down to find Sierra dissappeared from the elevator and looked at me to find her in my hands. I threw him a fake smile as he raised his hands up in surrender and left from there.

I looked at Sierra who was watching at all these with a confused look for which I glared at her, "That right there..", I paused to point at the elevator, "Is a proof that your nothing but a disgrace for me", I completed my sentence with venom spilling in my words.

*Azra/Sierra's P.O.V*

Why am I not surprised? Why am I not surprised that he came up with such sharpful words? At the end of the day, he is the monster.

I know better than to cry at his words like this. I have my heart well prepared for his verbal attacks. A bitter smile etched onto my face as I looked at him, "I may be a disgrace for you, but as you may know Im the grace in someone's life", I finished my sentence with a smirk as I indirectly mentioned Adam. If looks could kill, I maybe dead a thousand times now.

Well Seth darling, Two can play this game..

Damn! Heavy tension between these two...
Why do you think Seth says that he isnt going to forgive her?
