Chapter 12- Restless Hearts

Recap- I closed the door shut and immediately clutched my chest because it was getting restless. I saw right, then left, only to take a double take at what I saw. My eyes widened at the sight.

*Colby/Seth's P.O.V*

My eyes widened at the sight. There was Sierra, going back to her room. But theres was something strange from her aura.

She was supporting herself with the wall to walk into her room. She couldnt even walk properly. Her body was flinching every now and then, as if she is giving out hiccups.

She is not drunk......right?
But she doesnt even drink..

She slowly opened the door and went inside and just like that my legs sprinted towards her room, before she could lock her door.

Just as the door was about to close itself, I held it open. Noticing my presence, she turned around.

I was taken aback at her condition. Tears streaming down her face, bloodshot eyes, dry lips and she was giving out hiccups that I very well know is a result of a successful sobbing.

My heart was beating so faster and was aching. I couldnt think straight. Why was she crying?

Once she saw my face, another sob left her lips as she turned her face and bit her lips, preventing herself from weeping. I couldnt take it anymore.

I went forward and cupped her cheeks, "Hey, B-", "DONT TOUCH ME!!", she screamed before pushing herself away from me. Another pool of tears started streaming down her cheeks. God..

"Babe, tell me what happened?", I cooed at her, forgetting all our past and concentrating on the horrible present, "EVERYTHING HAPPENED!! EVERYTHING!! AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING INSIDE A DISGRACE'S ROOM?!?!?!! HUH?!", she was fuming and was a mess with all the crying. I didnt know how to answer her questions so I just made the hand gestures to calm her down.

She shook her head vigorously, "Get away from here..", she said, "But first tell me wh-", "I SAID GET AWAY FROM HERE!! DONT LOOK AT ME!! DONT LOOK AT MY FACE!!", she said sobbing and I was confused at her. Not to look at her or her face?

I looked at her and she was looking down and I thought I should just get away from her sight or else she'll cry even more, "Here, Im going", I announced and only got a blank reaction from her making me sigh as I stepped out of the room.

I didnt go anywhere, I just stayed infront of her room, waiting until she would calm down. The door was open, so I sneakily peeked inside to see what she was doing.

My heart went in a crack to see her sobbing as she slowly grabbed her huge teddy bear and hugged it closer. The next thing she did made me really worried. She fell on the bed and hugged the teddy thing harder as she sobbed harder and harder trying not to make any noise.

My eyebrows furrowed as to what might've made her this sad. I ran my hand through my hair as I slowly stepped inside her room. Very soft sobs were merely audible inside the room. I know her more than anyone. At times like this, she'd always prefer a hug.

Her sobs came to a hault as she quickly pulled back her head from the teddy she was hugging and muttered a 'sorry' to that lifeless thing. A soft smile spread onto my face as she apologized to that teddy as this is something she used to do since childhood. She apologized because her tears made that teddy wet.

My smile dissappeared as her eyes fell on me, "H-How long were you st-standing here?", she asked inbetween hiccups and I shrugged, "Just now", I replied truthfully and she sat up straight on her bed, "Now g-go away", she said and I noticed she was about to cry again. Why does she start crying when she sees me?

"Okay, I will go away, but first tell me why are you crying?", I asked with a nervous smile, for which she just glared at me, "So now you c-care?", she asked and I sighed before getting seated on her bed, "I always did, okay?", I confessed and she shook her head, "Okay now go", she commanded and I looked at her.

One thing is for sure, things are changed around us now, so she wont be sharing whats bothering her, "Come here", I called her and she gritted her teeth together, her eyes shining with fresh tears again, "Go away", she commanded again and I sighed. Now dont blame me for what Im gonna do..

I reached for her hand and pulled her to me. I locked my arms around her as she was struggling to get away, "Let go of me!! I said let go ugrr!!", she eventually gave up struggling as I had a strong grip around her.

She slowly placed her head on my chest and I rested my chin on top of her head. Her hair smelled of a mixture of vanilla and strawberry making me close my eyes, inhaling the scent.

I heard a soft sob and she gripped my hoodie and I let her. I was rocking her as my hand tangled itself inside her soft hair trying to give her a comfort. Some times letting out all the tears works.

I whispered sweet nothings to her. Just like that, I heard her steady breath and her grip on my hoodie loosened. I slowly bent my head to see she was fast asleep.

Ever so slowly, I placed her gently on her pillow and covered her with a duvet. Before leaving, I took her sleep as a chance to study her. Her eyebrows furrowed, tears stains on her cheeks, her lips dry and in a small pout.

She was cheery this morning and look at her now. My eyes slightly teared up as I quickly pressed my thumbs on top of my to prevent the tears from falling.

I leaned forward to press a kiss on her forehead. I never realized how much I missed her soft skin until now. Unintentionally my eyes fell on her pouted lips.

I didnt know what came over me, but I pressed my lips softly on her plump ones. Something that was tempting me to do from awhile now. I was mesmerized at the jolt of energy that spread through my veins.

Realization hit me like a rush of waves as I immediately pulled away before I could wake her up or get out of control. I was wide eyed at what I did.

No..No..No..No..NO!!!

What did I just do?

Did I just kiss my ex-best friend?

Did I just cheated on Sarah?

And is it wrong to say that I enjoyed it?

He kissed her!!!
Why couldnt he do it when she was awake?!!!!
