"Michael, do you have my Nirvana t-shirt?" Luke asks me as he runs around his room trying to pack for the trip today.
"I might have put it in my bag. Let me check." I unzip my duffle bag and search through the folded clothes until I find the shirt. "Here it is!" I toss it at Luke and it lands on his head.
"Wow thanks, Michael." He laughs and goes in the bathroom to change his shirt.
"Luke, you don't have to be all self conscious around me." I say. "I've seen you shirtless before, and I think you have a very hot body."
His laugh echos in the bathroom. "What you think doesn't change the fact that I'm a fatty. And look at you talking, you're just a self conscious."
I sigh. "But you're hot and I'm not."
"Shut up, Michael." He says and comes out of the bathroom. He pushes me against the edge of the bed and kisses me. "Are you ready to go?"
I nod. "Yeah, I think I've packed everything. We'll find out when we're there, won't we?"
"I hope you didn't forget anything important, then."

Ashton drives to Luke's house with Calum in the front seat. I put mine and Luke's bags in the trunk, and we sit in the back seat together. Ashton and Luke seem the most excited, and Calum and I are more worried. We have no idea where we're going. We're literally just driving to random places that catch our eye.
"Which direction should we head?" Ashton asks.
"Just take the road to the right. It leads over to the main street which then leads to the highway." Luke says.
"I can't believe we're doing this." I say.
Luke smiles at me. "It'll be fun."
"It better be." I say and cross my arms. Knowing these lads, we'll end up stuck in some super sketchy town with the car broken down and no food or water.
"Turn that frown upside down, Michael!" Calum says.
"Don't act like you don't feel the same!" I say. "You didn't seem so eager about it yesterday."
Calum shrugs. "I've changed my mind."
"Try to enjoy it." Luke elbows me lightly about a thousand times.
I grab his elbow and glare at him, but end up smiling because of his stupid face. "Fine."
"Whoooo!" Calum and Ashton both shout and Calum turns up the music.
This is going to be a long trip. Especially if we get lost. God, I hope we don't get lost. I mean, I guess it wouldn't be too bad since I'm with my four best friends, but I'd prefer to know we can get back home.
I'm also worried about how much time I'll get to spend with Luke. Not to be clingy or anything, but we just got together and it's been two fucking years. I'd like to spend time with my--boyfriend? Is that what we are? It doesn't matter.
It's just that on one hand I want to be able to be affectionate with him--not just hugging or cuddling since that's normal for us anyway, and on the other I want to keep things secret until we're both ready.
I just have to hope things will work out fine. I need to stop worrying all the time or my hair's gonna fall out. That could also result from too much hair dye.

"Michael." Someone pushes my arm. "Michael..." Now they put their chin on my shoulder. I feel air blowing against my face.
