Jason's pov

I was exhausted but couldn't sleep. Anytime I did, I had visions of the gorgeous dame that won't even be born for 500 years. "You saved me." I whisper missing her. "Hell ya saved my whole family." I shudder at the memory of losing them all. I hear Arty shout my name. He usually wakes up with night terrors about our father. He would always beat us children. Until he just stopped coming home. That was a blessing. I walked down the hallway to my little brother's room. "Hey Arty wake up." I say shaking him. He mumbles something, shaking but then I'm able to wake him. It's so good to see him again! To see my mother. My other siblings. And to not feel that evil presence in my chest anymore. I'm free I hug him tightly. "You're the best little brother I could ever ask for." I whisper.

*The next day*

I was shaving in front of the mirror. I could hear my mom singing to my youngest sister, Alexandra. She's only a few months old. I try to ignore the memories of the changed past but the haunt me. Suddenly the room gets dark as night and the mirror fogs up. I confusedly try to clear it. It clears on it's own and my fear escalates seeing my reflection with a twisted smile and dark red eyes. "No." I whisper, dropping the razor. "What did you do to yourself?!" Test reflection says, making me take another terrified step back. "You're a weak mortal again! Why would you do this to yourself!?" I try to swallow my fear. "What I was doing was wrong!" "Wrong!" He growls back, laughing. Suddenly he appears in the room. I'm so scared right now. "What... W-What are you?!" "Don't you miss the freedom?! The power?!" He yells ignoring my question. "No! The only thing I miss is my angel!" "Angel. Ha! She would never love the real you." My hands tense up. "That isn't true!" I yell. "She loved me after see returned to normal! She freed me from you!! And from that acursed devil!" Rage fills his eyes and he vanishes in a cloud of deep black smoke. I cough and open a window. "Well that happened." I whisper breathless and scared. "What do I do?" I nervously go downstairs to my very religious mother. Oh how disappointed she'd be if she knew what I did. I ignore my negative thoughts. I haven't done that this time around. I'm free of the devil's influence. "Mother I need to speak with you." "What is the matter son?" "I am afraid I might be cursed." "Cursed?" She gapes, looking shocked. I clear my throat worried. "What would someone do if they were cursed?" "Why do you think you are cursed?" "I can't really explain." I say, rubbing my arm, hating to lie to my mother. She looks at me worried. "Well someone who is cursed should get a blessing from a priest." Why didn't I think of that?! "Thanks mother." I say, excited. I want to be rid of him once and for all. I run down to the church. I don't burn if I walk in there, will I? I shake my head. Of course not. Miranda freed me. I'm not like that anymore. But I'm doing this to make sure. To make entirely sure I'm free. I walk inside, kind of scared but nothing happens. I breathe a sigh of relief. "Father." I say finding the priest. He smiles. "It's good to see you." I smile. "You too. I need to be blessed father. I think somebody has cursed me." His eyes go wide. "How so?" "I don't know how to explain it." He sighs. "The devil is a trickster." He says shaking his head. "Promising riches and power that he can't provide a balance to." My heart rate speeds up. "The devil will make even the strongest weak." I fight back the urge to throw up, feeling nauseous. "Sit." He says pointing. He recites some scriptures and other stuff. I close my eyes, feeling sick to my stomach. Probably just from the worry. Suddenly my body feels really cold for a second then it's back to normal. "There. You should be good as new." I smile relieved. "Thank you father." "You're welcome." I walk back towards home full of renewed energy. I'm free. I don't miss the power I had. I'm happy and free. For once, I'm free! Suddenly my eyes land on a girl, kneeling over the stream with the clothing in her hands. I walk over confused. Who is this mystery girl? "Hello." I say kneeling beside her. "What's your name?" "Elizabeth." She says, brushing her blonde hair out of her face. "Whoa." My breath catches. Princess Elizabeth Sqoure." She looks so much like Miranda, I'd have mistaken them for sisters, if there wasn't a five hundred year gap. "What.... I mean why... Why are you out here.... Doing laundry?" She blushes and looks away. "This might sound like I'm spoiled to a commoner but the life of a princess isn't all fun and games and ordering people around." My stomach feels queasy again, remembering what I did. "I just want to be able to go where I would like. I'm not afraid of chores or dirt." Wow. "Daughter!" The beautiful girl stiffens. I stand up. "King Tyler." I say bowing. "What're you doing outside the castle walls?!" She sighs. "Father I was just doing laundry." She gasps annoyed. "Come home this instant!" He snaps annoyed. I wave goodbye. She smiles. "I'll be seeing you." She says. Wow I think the princess, future queen, has a crush on me. And.... I think I do too.
