Chapter 8- This Is The Life

Miranda's pov

I wake up the next day, my arms itchy and achy. "What is this feeling?" I mumble tiredly, scratching my arms. I shrug and head to the throne room. It's weird living in this castle. The castle I always dreamt of living in as a child. I smile and glance at the elaborate throne chairs. I walk into the dining hall and my siblings were there eating.

Jason's pov

My lovely queen walked into the kitchen. "Mornin' honey." She waves. "Mornin'." She still looks down. I hope this isn't her humanity trying to win. I whisper a spell under my breath to make her humanity weaker. "What's for breakfast?" She asks. "I'm making hashbrown casserole, dear." Her mother says, her voice laced with anger. I give a look to a guard and he slaps her in the back of the head. "Show some respect to your queen." I growl. "Your majesty." She adds. Me and Miranda walk out of the kitchen. She busts out laughing, catching me off guard. "That was so... So awesome!" I smirk. The spell definitely worked. "I've never felt this powerful over someone!" I smile. "Told you you'd love this life. You and I command the whole entire village! All at our mercy. You want to kill someone, you can!" "I can?" She gasps shocked. I smile and nod. "These people are ours to control." She smiles. "Just one before breakfast." She whispers with a wicked smile. "Do you know whom?" "Her name is Harriet Senchen. She would bully me about my gift when I was younger. I'd love for her to suffer the way I did years ago." We go to our thrones and I call over one of our slaves. "Bring me Harriet Senchen." Ha face goes pale. "No! Please! Not her!" He cries beggingly. "What the heck's your problem dude?" "She's my daughter!" He gasps. "Guards restrain him." I say pointing. Two guards grab his arms. "W-What are you doing?!" I point to a different slave who rushes over terrified. "Yes, your highness?" I smirk. "Bring the girl to me." He leaves to get her. The man begs and pleads crying like a baby. "Have some self respect for yourself." I gripe rolling my eyes. "Here's the deal babe. You can torture her but make sure you don't kill her and she's still mobile." "Aww but why, Jason?" She whines adorably. "You'll see, sugar." I say, patting her head. The door opens. "Let go of me!" I hear a high pitched voice shout. The guard throws a girl in chains at my feet. I attach heavy cinder block balls to her chains so she can't lift her arms. "Leave me alone you bitch!" She yells. I slap her hard in the face. "Don't you ever talk to Ms like that again!" "Harriet!" The man shouts. "Daddy!" She whimpers turning around. I walk over to him. "So you don't teach your daughter not to bully someone who's different, huh?" He's too scared to reply. "Well here's what happens when you fail." I turn back to my excited girl. "Baby do your thing." She smiles and opens her locket. "With pleasure." She whispers. I smile. I've created a monster. And I love it.
