Jason's pov

Me and the youngsters are heading down to the creek to go swimming, now that they've got the bacteria cleaned from it. "Can we hurry?  I'm hot!" My little sister Vivian complains. I laugh softly. "We're almost there." I call over my shoulder. "Can you carry me?" Arty asks. I smile. I carry him on my back. We were almost to the river when I heard someone whisper my name. I looked around confused. Suddenly everything goes quiet. I don't hear the chatter of Rivers and Stephan fighting over who gets the extra roll at dinner. I couldn't hear Sarah complaining about her clothes getting muddy. Or Vivian say it's too hot. The birds weren't chirping. The river wasn't flowing. The wind wasn't making the trees rattle. A dark, pitch black cave looked to the left of us. My heart sped up a million times worse. The cave. The cave I sold my soul to the devil in. I shake my head terrified. "No." My mind flashes back to that beautiful angel, a flowing white dress wrapped around her small soft body. Wise beyond her years and far tougher than I. "He always gives a second chance." I hear her calm voice whisper, her Chestnut eyes boring into me as everything vanished. "Miranda." I whisper, feeling a hard tug on my arm. I snap out of the weird trance and Stephan was the one shaking me. "You okay? You dropped Arty and froze." Dropped Arty? Oops. "Sorry." I say. We get to the river. My 13 year old sister Ariana sat beside me instead of playing in the river. "Are you sure you are alright?" She asks. I glance over my shoulder and nod. "Just a dream I had last night." I say. She hugs me. "Love you big brother." She says then runs off to play in the river. "Love you too." I whisper happily, that pyrokinetic girl that face me a second chance sons in my mind.
