Chapter 16

General POV

Joe came back and everything was explained to him. He, like Cisco, didn't really understand the genetics behind all that but agreed to either way. Caitlin took a few samples of Barry's blood and got to work. 

Cisco managed to get Barry's grip off him so he could vibe where Rachel was. She was actually right outside the fence in the abandoned building. She was watching to see what was happening. 

Cisco reported back what he saw and they started forming a plan. A plan that had to have a no flaw in it. It had to be perfect. 

They spent an hour on the idea and ran it over and over again. It was perfect. Nothing could go wrong.

Cisco teleported them to the building and they all split up; going their planned ways. Each one of them had a job to do. Caitlin stayed behind to watch Barry and to work on the cure, Cisco went forward, Joe went left, and Harry went right. They cornered the sleeping metahuman.

Before she could wake, Joe serged forward and put the power weakening cuffs on her exposed wrists. She jumped at the sudden movement. She looked around and saw the angry, protective, team of the Flash. She knew she was caught. 

Cisco brought her back to the lab and Caitlin grabbed the needle and took a vial of her modified blood. She went back to her station and Barry came running out and into Cisco's arms. 

He hugged the child and picked him up. Joe and Harry escorted the meta into her new home. They came back just as Caitlin walked out of her lab. She had the cure in hand. They all gathered around Barry and Cisco and Caitlin injected the serum into his tiny body. 

Cisco put Barry down on the ground and stepped back. At first, nothing happened. Moments later, there was a white light and everything went pink. It was the serum overriding the metahuman powers. 

When all the light was gone, there stood Barry. In all his naked glory.
