(It's way past midnight, yet Peter Parker walks through the city in the rain. He listens to his music and is on autopilot, as he'd rather be in his thoughts. He finally reaches the hallway of his dorm and sees Liz sitting in front of his door.)
LIZ: (cheery mood) "Peter!" (She stands up and hugs him) "Where'd you go?"
PETER: (opens his dorm, not looking at her) "Out."
LIZ: "Woah, wait a second. Are you mad at me now?"
PETER: (He turns towards her and riffs, finally vocalizing what he's been thinking about for the past 40 minutes) "If I'm being honest, yeah. I am pretty mad. Someone could've died today, and I could've prevented it if I wasn't so distracted!" (He starts talking to himself) "How could I have been so..." (sighs) "I just have to know where my priorities are..."

LIZ: "So that's what I am? A distraction to you?"
PETER: (explodes) "Yeah! Like I said, some guy out there would've died if Iron Man didn't save him, all because I decided to be greedy and do something for myself this one time and it cost me, just like how it cost my Uncle Ben his life!" (He grabs his Spidey mask from his pocket and throws it on the ground.)
LIZ: "Hold up, that's kind of an unfair thing to put on my shoulders! I thought you just needed someone to hold...I know I did. YOU were the one who came to my room, last I checked. You're just gonna let one error dictate the rest of your life? Also, do you know how hard it is for me, knowing that, every night, you're out there risking your life for the people of New York? I'm not asking you to not be you, but please I am literally praying that I don't open up my phone and see a report on Spider-Man getting hurt or...never mind. If I knew you'd act like this, Jesus Christ, I wouldn't have let myself feel how I felt about you."

PETER: "...which was...?"
LIZ: (sarcastically) "I don't know if I should tell you, I wouldn't wanna be even more of a distraction."
