A life that never gets better
Behind my smile,
A person living in terror
Behind my smile,
Cries and tears that never stop
Behind my smile,
A heart that's always ready to sob
Behind my smile,
A person that can never feel safe
Behind my smile,
A heart that can never be brave
Behind my smile,
Bullets shot from guns
Behind my smile,
A heart that, away, runs
Behind my smile,
A heart that can never be strong
Behind my smile,
A life that is lived wrong
Behind my smile,
A heart that fears everything
Behind my smile,
A world that never has spring
Behind my smile,
Words that cut very deep
Behind my smile,
A pain that's hard to keep
Behind my smile,
A dream that couldn't come true
Behind my smile,
A darkness that blocked the view
Behind my smile,
Continuous and endless rain
Behind my smile,
Experiences that are hard to gain
Behind my smile,
Fake people and fake feelings
Behind my smile,
Wounds that are never healing
