This Town

As I was saying a "Farewell" to you,
Just like everyone who, away, flew,
Leaving this town as the wind blew,
Blowing memories we went through

This town has changed quite much
This town is losing its unique touch
Days from childhood were soo rush
And the truth, to me, is a now crush

As everyone have left this place,
They have all just forgot my face
They forgot all the important dates,
With their dialect to be replaced

As everyone went away,
And I was the one to stay
Clouds made their way,
Vanishing through the day

This is where we used to play,
This is where we spent all day
And when the sky became grey,
Under this tree, we would stay

As everyone left this town,
And leaves became brown
These places are broken down
Buildings are standing around

We used to stand here to watch the sunset
When we were kids, this was where we met
I'm standing here again, with a feeling of regret,
Knowing those are the days I'll never forget

As the sea became buried and the beach is gone
And the memories went away and life goes on
Buildings are very high that they stop the sun
Taking away everything greedily, leaving none

Still, the love for this town is in my heart,
'Cause this is where my life was to start
Memories were born here form the past
Though, this town was once a piece of art

This town is where I rest under the clear sky
As some birds stay in the tree and others fly
This town had the green fields I passed by
Where I used to play, buildings are standing high

Hope you like it!!! 😊
