Kingston's P.O.V

 "Oh my god!" laughed Lola.

I had never met a girl quite like Lola. Someone who liked me for who I was and laughed at my jokes.

The world is full of people who are in love, and I, Kingston, am now one of them, all because of Lola.

It all started when we worked on a duet together, at the time we had done it to build a friendship, but I built stronger feelings, ones I'm sure she doesn't reciprocate.

So now, here we sit in the juice bar, talking about our week and having a laugh.

"So, let me get this straight, you ate dirt just for $2?" Lola questioned again laughing through her comment.

"Hey, I was 4, give me a break," I told her jokingly.

What I like about spending time with Lola is that she has a good sense of humour, which comes in handy when I tell her things from my childhood.

"Actually, I can't laugh. I used to eat play-doh growing up."

"Play-doh's nothing," I patted Lola's arm as she giggled.

"It so is," she told me in a serious tone, breaking it to laugh again.

Catching up was a daily thing for us, after our trainings, we would meet and talk about anything other than dance since we had been banned from doing so.

This is how I got to know about her, like how she was born in England but moved when she was 5, how she has a lucky pair of pointe shoes, her favourite juice is peach, and that her dream is to go back to London to dance at a prestigious dance company she had been talking about her whole life.

Along with knowing her, she got to know me. I have told her things that I've never told anyone, like how I ate dirt.

As Lola and I were enjoying each other's company I noticed Ozzy running up to us out of the corner of my eye.

"Kingston, bro. Michelle wants us in Studio A. Something's happened."

I gave Lola an apologetic look before I stood up.

"I'll see you tomorrow," Lola told me, waving me off.

But what I didn't know was that I wouldn't see her tomorrow, or for another month, all because of Emily and Michelle.

Just as Lola and I were really starting to know each other, our opposing teams pulled us apart.

Maybe Lola and I weren't meant to be after all.
