Chapter Forty Three

~Elsa~

They were talking and talking about how to save the two...

And here I am sitting on one chair just listening to their conversation...

"So that's it...we will distract Pitch while You and Elsa will help Rapunzel and Anna." North said pointing the two of us.

Jack nodded..I looked at him and saw him really serious and worried.

"Alrighty then...Let's go." The Kangaroo said..Actually I know he's a Bunny but he just looks like a Kangaroo to me.

I shrugged the thought away and saw that they were already preparing to fight.

Gee...they're serious about this...I mean I am too but...they're totally worried sick...I know Anna and Rapunzel...a little...I know they can handle themselves..they're tough.

I put on my gloves and borrowed a cape from North.

I saw Jack walk by and he's still looking serious as ever.

"Hey! Jack wait!" I called out...

It took a few seconds before he turned to me...

"What is it?" he asked...

"Uhmm....I...Are you okay?" I stammered...

He looked at the floor and looked back at me and nodded slowly...

"I am...but...Just worried about Punzie and Anna." he said...

Punzie...Punzie...Punzie...

I can't help but feel jealous...always about her...

"You? Are you okay?" he asked snapping me back to reality.

I nodded "Yeah..I'm fine..quite sleepy though." I said..It's true...I'm exhausted.

"But...we need to rescue them first..I can sleep after." I added.

He just nodded...and turned around to leave but I spoke which made him stop.

"Do you love her?"

I can't help but ask...I just want to know directly from him...

To see if I have a chance...

He turned to me with a confused look...

"Do you love my cousin?" I asked trying not to sound nervous...

He sighed and looked down on the floor...

I waited for his answer...

"Yes.....I love her." he said.

That broke my heart to pieces...I knew it....

I just nodded slowly... "Oh...okay then.."

"Hey...are you crying?" He asked walking closer to me...

I took a step back...I can't let him see me like this...No way

I turned to wipe the stray tears away...

Pull yourself together!

"No I'm not...just got...something on my eye." I said...which was really lame...

He held both my shoulders and turned me to face him..."Don't lie to me Elsa...What's wrong?" he asked with a worried look.

I looked away...I can't look at him...

I just kept quiet...I can't tell him..there's no point anyway...I have no chance...

"You can always tell me." He said.

That's what I always tell him when he's bothered...

I closed my eyes tight before looking back at him...

"If I tell you...will you hate me?" I asked...I don't want to lose him...he might hate me or avoid me if I tell him.

His eyebrows knitted together in confusion.."You're my friend...I can never hate you." he said.

Oh...I'm just a friend to him...

"Please...Tell me what's bothering you." he said with pleading look.

"I'm in love with you Jack...But...You don't love me back." I said pushing him gently away from me.

He was shocked as he stared at me...

"W-What?"

I groaned "I said it Jack! That's what bothers me...I can't stop my feelings for you!"

He just kept silent and stared at me still in shock...

"I love you......But you love her." I said tears rolling down my cheeks.

"I'm sorry Elsa but...I love you as a friend and maybe as a sibling."he said..

That somehow tore me apart...I'm just like a sister to him?

But...I'm slightly glad to hear it...atleast he cares about me...

It's so confusing!

"Jack! Let's go mate!" Bunny said breaking the silence...

Jack turned to him and I just stared at the floor.

"Coming..." He said back...

"We need to g-"

Before he could finish I walked ahead and went in the sleigh.

I made sure that he's far from me and no one will notice my tears...

Which are rolling down my cheeks.
