Chapter Seventeen

~Jack~

"Jack! Wake up!"

I quickly opened my eyes when someone yelled at me.

"I'm awake!I'm awake!" I said.

I saw Elsa looking at me raising an eyebrow.

"You slept here the whole night?" she asked.

I looked around and saw that I was in the balcony.

I remembered me and Rapunzel talked last night.

"Uh...Guess so...Morning." I said scratching the back of my head.

She smiled "Morning...come on let's have some breakfast."

We walked towards the dining room and passed by Anna.

"Hey princess." I greeted.

She just smiled "Where's Rapunzel?" she asked looking around.

"Still in bed I guess." Elsa answered.

Anna sighed in relief "Good."

"Huh?" I asked...what is she planning to do?

"Let me guess...you're making a surprise for her huh?" I asked.

She nodded.

"What for?"Elsa asked looking at the room where Anna came out.

"Guess you you forgot..It's her birthday remember?" Anna said snapping her fingers.

My eyes widened and my hand flew to my mouth.

"Oh my! You're right! We better have a party for her." Elsa said with her eyes wide in realization.

"That's what I'm doing...Come on help me with the streamers and balloons." Anna said opening the door revealing a room full of tables and boxes.

"She's 19 not a 5 year old." I said remembering it's her 19th birthday.

Anna frowned at me and sighed.

"You're right...so...what are we gonna design instead smarty pants?" she asked looking at me.

"How about flowers?" Elsa asked.

I nodded "That would do."

"Well what else does Rapunzel like?" Anna asked.

I thought about it for a while.

"Uhm...she likes snow." I said remembering the skating time when we were at her tower.

"Snow? You can't make it snow in here...it will ruin the food." Anna said.

I nodded...she's right.

"How about we also place some snowflakes?" Elsa asked again.

I nodded once again.

"Okay then that's it let's get started." Anna said.

This is gonna be hardwork for sure...but it's for Rapunzel so...I'll do it.

After many hours more like years...We finished the whole room...ready for the party.

"Now for the gifts..what should I give her?" Anna asked.

"I'll give her new shoes." Elsa said with a smile.

I chuckled...Rapunzel doesn't really like to wear shoes or even slippers when she was still young.

"I'll give her a dress!" Anna said with a huge smile.

Well...she does like dresses especially purple and pink dresses.

"What will you give Jack?" Elsa asked.

I thought for a while....Ah ha!!! I know what I'll give her.

"You'll find out later." I answered.

"Jack Frost never runs out of surprises." Elsa said while shaking her head.

"I'll take that as a compliment." I said with a playful smile.

Suddenly, we heard a whistle.

We all turned to the source and saw Flynn.

Urgh!

"Flynn! Where's Rapunzel?!" Anna asked as she started to panic.

Flynn walked closer to us "Nice place...oh...Rapunzel's in her room...doing who knows what." Flynn said looking around the place.

Anna sighed "Good."

"What's your gift for Rapunzel?" Elsa asked.

Flynn thought for a while..."A ring."

I tensed up at what he just said...right...he's her fiance' of course he'll give her a ring.

"Oh okay." Elsa said as she looked at me...guess she noticed.

"Hello?!" We all tensed up when we heard her voice from outside the room.

"Uh oh! Quick turn off the lights!!!" Anna said panicking.

We all ran to turn off the lights and peeked out the door.

Rapunzel just passed by the room...good thing.

"Get out now!" Anna whispered.

We all went out but unfortunately Flynn fell to the ground causing a thud.

Rapunzel quickly turned to us and walked towards us.

Anna locked the door and hid the key behind her back.

"Where were you guys?" Rapunzel asked once she's near us.

"Flynn..you okay?" she asked looking at Flynn.

Flynn brushed off the invisible "dust" from his clothes "Yeah...I'm okay." he said.

Rapunzel noticed Anna hiding something behind her back...Anna just smiled.

Rapunzel raised her eyebrow and looked at the door.

"What's in here?" she asked attempting to open the door...good thing Anna locked it.

"Oh nothing! Let's go have our breakfast Phew! I'm starving!" Anna said pushing Rapunzel away from the door.

Elsa just chuckled.
