Chapter Twenty Seven

~Rapunzel~

After eating our lunch, I went to my room to rest but...

"Rapunzel!"

I turned to see who called me and saw Jack walking towards me.

"Oh...hello Jack." I said.

"Where are you heading?" he asked once he's near me.

"To my room...I was planning on having a little nap." I answered.

"Well...are you really tired?" Jack asked me.

I thought for a while "Uh...not really." I answered.

"Oh...how about we go have some fun then?" he asked with a smirk.

"Jack! Where are we going?" I asked as he dragged me with him out of the castle.

"Just follow me." he answered.

I just kept quiet and followed him.

We arrived at the forest.

"Uh...what are we doing here?" I asked raising and eyebrow.

"How about we have a little picnic?" he asked as he pulled me towards an open area with a blanket laid on the ground.

There were cupcakes,pie,bread and a pitcher of mango juice.

"Wow....when did you prepare all this?" I asked.

"Just a while ago...when we were still on the ship." he answered casually as if it was no big deal.

"You did this by yourself?" I asked as I sat on the blanket.

"Hmm...I had some help." he answered.

"Anna huh?" I asked.

He nodded....I knew it.

"Oh here." he said handing me a bouqet of stargazers.

"Wow...Jack! Thanks!" I said taking it.

He smiled.

"So...uh....you were going to tell me something when we were still at Arendelle...what was that?" he asked.

I tensed up....Can I really do this?

"Oh...uh...Jack...please don't be mad..." I said nervously.

He looked at me with a puzzled look.

"Okay?" He said obviously unsure.

I took a deep breath.

"I lied." I said looking at the grass.

"Lied? about what?" he asked.

I sighed and looked at him.

"I didn't have an accident Jack....I lied." I said.

"What?" he asked raising his voice a little.

"I decided to forget about my past when I was with you." I said trying my best not to tremble.

He frowned "You decided to forget me?! Me?! Who cared so much about you?! Punz!How could you?!" he said literally mad now.

I frowned at what he said...

"You?! You cared for me?! huh!Just to remind you Jack...You left me! Without a word! And now you're saying you cared about me?!" I said angrily.

He just kept silent.

"I waited for you for two years! you didn't show up! I was like an idiot talking to the moon asking where you are...and there was no answer! Not even a sign! I said as tears filled up my eyes.

"Everynight! I would go to my window and wait for you...but then,you never came!"I said as the tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Punz! I-"

"You know what Jack?....Forget about it...Past is past...never to be discussed!" I said firmly before running away.
