Blood

Weeks passed. Weeks where Maeryn trained her skill and became more skilled in fighting. Weeks where Alec's and Maeryn's love grew stronger.
Maeryn was laying on her bed, staring at the ceiling feeling bored. Alec and Jane where away on a mission along with Demetri and Felix. It had been a week by now and she was missing Alec dearly.
Maeryn heard soft footsteps nearing her door, footsteps she recognised immediately. Maeryn sat up the minute Alec walked into the room. She didn't even hesitated for a second before she rushed to him and kissed him passionately. Alec wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her back with the same passion. The world seemed to disappear the minute their lips connected. Nothing else existed except for them.
A small cough brought the two vampires back to reality. Alec turned around while Maeryn looked over his shoulder. At the still open door stood Jane, a small smile on her face. "Heidi will be here soon. Although I do not think you two need the feeding right now." She said and let out a small giggle that sounded like little bells in the air. If Maeryn could have blushed she would have. Alec on the other hand smirked slightly. "I'll be right there sister." Jane nodded. "But that is not all brother. Maeryn may join. Master Aro thinks she is ready." Maeryn was shocked. For months she only was allowed to hunt, seeing as Maeryn might hurt someone due to her bloodlust driving all her humane instincts away.
Alec smiled and kissed Maeryn quickly on her lips. Maeryn smiled and followed Jane and Alec down to the throne room where the other vampires where already waiting. "Ah, dear ones. You are just on time. Heidi is nearby." Aro said as the three vampires bowed for their masters and took their places. Shortly after, Heidi came in, followed by at least 20 humans. Maeryn felt her throat burn but she knew she had to wait. First her masters would pick, and after they had their first pick the others could feed.
"Ah, welcome dear guests. We thank you for visiting us, and for the pleasure you will provide us." Aro said a Santiago closed the doors behind the tourists. The tourists where slightly confused, but much time to think no one had. The three masters sped to their first pick and soon the other vampires, including Maeryn, attacked. First a woman, the woman was scarred and screamed when Maeryn sank her fangs into her neck. The woman's blood had a bitter aftertaste, the taste that accompanied blood when a human smoked cigarettes, but nonetheless, the blood helped the burning in her throat to calm down. Soon after the woman, Maeryn grabbed a man who was crying in a corner, praying. Maeryn didn't hesitate and drank. The male's blood was cleaner and sweeter. Maeryn growled slightly in frustration when the second human was empty too. She looked up and saw Alec about to drink from a male, but he noticed Maeryn looking. Alec saw how thirsty she still was and offered the other side of the male's neck, giving her a wink. Maeryn smirked and they both sank their teeth in the man's neck, ridding him quickly of his blood. Alec dropped the body on the pile of other bodies. Every last human was dead and completely drained.
Suddenly a small knock was heard, along with a heartbeat. All the guard members took their places as Santiago opened the door and Valentina, the new human secretary walked in. She was quite pretty, well for a human that is. She had olive like skin, brown eyes and brown hair that was tied in a neat bun. She wore a blood red dress accompanied by black high heels. In her hand she had a silver platter with a note resting on top of it. Demetri and Felix walked towards her while Santiago took his place once more by the door.
"Ah, Valentina has brought us something." Aro said while standing up from his throne, his hand stretched out to the girl. "She should not have interrupted." Caius spoke, glaring at the girl. "She's new." Aro said in a pretending caring voice. "Aren't they all?" Marcus said, his voice bored. Caius smirked at his comment. Aro took a few steps forward, standing on the top of the small stairs that led to their thrones, and smiled at Valentina. Valentina was hesitating whether to step forward or not. He beckoned her to step forward, so she did, presenting Aro the note that was laying on top of the silver platter. Aro took it and smiled at Valentina while opening the envelope. Valentina smiled back slightly, clearly feeling slightly uncomfortable being surrounded by vampires. Aro looked at the note and spoke. "oh, L'amore ci mantiene giovani. Edward and Bella are to be married." "What a joy." Marcus said, clearling not interested. "This is the Cullen's way of announcing her transformation. They mock us with their delays." Caius said, clearly annoyed while Aro kept smiling at Valentina. Aro turned towards Caius. "Patience brother." He said before turning back to facing Valentina. He took a step down and placed the now empty envelope on the silver platter that Valentina was still holding. "Though you do have a point." Aro said while stroking Valentina's cheek. "The human did interrupt." Aro said and looked behind Valentina where Felix and Demetri where standing. Valentina frowned, as if knowing what would come next. The three masters descended from their thrones while making their way towards the exit, a sign that the other where excused. "Oh, I do love weddings." Aro said while Felix and Demetri rushed towards Valentina. Demetri pushed Felix away and pulled Valentina close to him, sinking his fangs into her neck, earning him a bone chilling scream.

Once Maeryn and Alec where back in his room, Maeryn took off her cloak checking for any blood that might have spilled on it. When she could not find any, she placed it neatly over a chair that was close by Alec's study. Alec made his way towards her and pulled her close to him. Their sharing of a human made Alec want to do things to her that would be innapropiate to speak out loud. Maeryn watched him, feeling the exact same. Alec slowly moved his hand towards her face, whipping away the small stream of blood that was left in the corner of her mouth and moved his thumb towards his mouth, licking the blood away, all doing this while his eyes never left hers. Maeryn bit her lip which made Alec growl slightly before attacking her lips hungrily. Maeryn growled back slightly, yet she let him be the dominant one. Alec guided her towards his bed and pushed her down, crawling on top of her, his arms supporting his weight. Maeryn wrapped her arms around his torso, feeling his back muscles through his coat.
Slowly, his lips left hers, only to make their way towards her ear and nibble softly on her earlobe, earning him a small moan. "Do you have any idea how incredibly beautiful you are? And how sexy you are when you feed?" He whispered huskily in her ear. "Maeryn bit her lip as he slowly kissed down her neck and left small kisses up and down her collarbone. Maeryn moaned softly and made a decision. They both had waited long enough.
Maeryn slowly started to unbutton his coat, showing a black t-shirt. Alec watched her carefully while stroking her hip, making her dress slightly crawl up. She finally removed his coat, careful to not rip it as it was his favourite. His t-shirt however, was less lucky as her lust took over and ripped it into pieces. Alec growled playfully and ripped her dress off, kissing her belly. Maeryn closed her eyes and moaned softly.
Alec suddenly groaned and buried his face in her neck, holding her close. "What is wrong?" Maeryn asked, worried that he did not find her pretty enough anymore. "You are teasing me. This making it hard to keep my promise." He whispered against her neck. Maeryn bit her lip. "Then break it. Take me." She whispered seductively. Alec slowly moved his face, looking straight into her crimson eyes with his burgundy ones. "Are you sure, there is no way back." Maeryn smiled. "I am sure. I am yours. Make me yours." Alec smiled and kissed her with love.

Maeryn and Alec where laying in his bed. The sheets where thorn, as was the headrest. Maeryn was laying with her head on his chest and her left leg was lazily wrapped around his waist, while Alec's left arm was tightly wrapped around her and his right hand held her left arm while she played with his necklace. No words were spoken. They just reminisced.
However, Alec was deep lost in his thoughts. Maeryn noticed and gently kissed his chin. "What is on your mind, love?" she asked. "I was just thinking, since the human and Edward are to be married, what it would be like to marry you." He whispered softly. Maeryn giggled softly. "Isn't normally the woman supposed the daydream about that?" Alec chuckled. "Not when the man found his soulmate." He said while pecking her lips. "Maybe in a few years. So far, I think we have rushed enough in our relationship." Maeryn said while she played with his necklace again. Alec frowned slightly. "Do you have any regrets?" he asked, looking directly at her. "Not at all. But now that everything is settled I would just like us to be like this." She explained. Alec nodded his head, slightly disappointed but he knew he had asked a lot of his mate the past year, so he would wait patiently, and then he would do it properly.
He placed one last kiss on top of her head before the two fell into a comfortable silence once more.
