[ Taeyong | Sicheng | Ten | Johnny | Lucas | Jungwoo | Mark ]
[ in home economics class ]
Jungwoo grits his teeth as he stomps his way to class. He notices his best friend Mark waving to him, but instead of waving back he just gives him his usual 'someone pissed him off again' look.
Of course, being the all-rounder best friend who is capable of understanding Jungwoo's struggles, Mark lends him a shoulder. "Let me guess, Taeyong?"
Bingo. Mark hit right on the bullseye! And no, it's not like he could read minds. It's just word travels so fast within these halls and it's hard not to hear about it.
Jungwoo sighs as he drops his backpack down. He sucks the inside of his cheek and flicks his gaze towards his best friend. "Yeah, and the worst part is, he has a book I need for English class."
"Really, you let him snatch a book from you?" Mark squints his eyes suspiciously and pressures Jungwoo to spill all the details. "How did this even happen?"
Shaking his head, Jungwoo shrugs his shoulders. It's not like he was careless—okay, maybe he was. But, that wasn't the point! The point was, he needs to find a copy of Romeo and Juliet by today or else he's going to miss his book report deadline. "I would tell you Mark, but it's going to take the whole class."
"So, what's the plan? Maybe I can help?" His best friend says, crossing his arms. "You need a book, right?"
Oh no, Mark doesn't understand a thing. He doesn't need a book, he needs the book. Finding a copy of this book was going to be difficult, considering majority of the students already got their hands on the spare copies. "It's Romeo and Juliet."
Mark gasps as he covers his mouth. He widens his eyes and flops his hands to his neck. "You idiot! This is for Mrs. Kim's class right?"
"The one the only. She checks quotes and pages, so she knows if we use a PDF or something." Jungwoo bites his lip at the sight of preparing his deathbed. The thing was, this paper accounts for 60% of his grade and if he doesn't do good, he's screwed. It's goodbye vacation and hello summer school!
Jungwoo wasn't about to give up. Please, he still has half of the day left to find the book and honestly, it could have been a lot worse. "Do you know anyone who might have the book?"
Mark really was out of ideas. It's hard for him to spit out an answer, but he was the brains in this friendship! That's right, he has a plan up his sleeve. He pops his big giant head out and yells from across the room. "Hey Lucas, do you have a book!?"
Wait, what? Jungwoo widens his eyes at the sound of hearing his best friend spitting out complete nonsense. "H—hey, what are you doing?"
"Shh, I'm trying to help you." Mark grins, elbowing Jungwoo in the gut. "If you don't shut up, then you can kiss passing her class goodbye."
Lucas stops in his tracks and walks over to Jungwoo and Mark. The first thing he does was sport his usual pouty kiss towards his babe. And, the second thing? He tries his best to impress him with his smooth and slick heart fingers.
"Um, Lucas? If your plan is to impress Jungwoo by looking like a blowfish, then you need practice." Mark pushes back his face and crinkles his nose. "I mean, you're getting there."
Facepalming himself, Jungwoo eyes Lucas up and down. It would be a total lie if he didn't think it was sort of cute, but then again... Mark was right. He really needs to practice his skills.
"My lady, you're beautiful as usual." Lucas raises his brow, arched at the perfect angle. Apart from flirting with Jungwoo nearly every day, he notices something bothering his cutie patooty. "Is something wrong?"
As a matter of fact, yes. How was Jungwoo going to even ask Lucas if he has this book? No offense, but he doesn't seem like the type of guy who would even open a book, let alone read one. "Um, do you happen to have a book?"
Widening his grin, Lucas doesn't hesitate to answer Jungwoo's question while checking out his fine perky ass. It's not every day he gets to witness such a blessing up close and personal. "Depends, what kind of book?"
"It's Romeo and Juliet. It has to be the sixth edition or seventh." Jungwoo bites his lip as he prays that perhaps Lucas might actually have it. To be honest, there's little hope, but at least he gave it a try.
Lucas blinks and then hurried on over to his backpack. He pulls something out and hands it to Jungwoo. "You're like the fifth person who asked me today. I'm only giving you this because you're my lady."
Blushing, Jungwoo hugs the book tightly in his arms. He can feel the instant heat rising to his ears. Who knew all it took was a simple 'you're my lady' to get him all hot and bothered inside? "T—thanks. And FYI, I'm not your lady."
