They both stood facing the stump, Senior Yugi helping me sit next to him, where I could still see the field.
“Bakura.” Senior Yugi said. “What have you done? Why have you taken us to the Shadow realm?”
“Bakura?” Bakura asked. “Bakura can't come to the phone right now.”
“If you're not Bakura then who are you?” I asked weakly. Whatever I had done to summon that shield had drained me of my strength, although that huge meal I had just eaten was helping more than I was ready to admit in front of Not- Bakura.
“I am a thief and a stealer of souls, Iris.” Mean Bakura said.
That is totally his name now until further notice.
“And I have done terrible things in my quest to possess the Millennium Items. You do remember the legend, don't you?”
Senior Yugi’s eyes widened. Apparently he did.
“Whosoever possesses all eight of the Millennium Items shall possess power
unimaginable. And before I’m done with you not only will I possess your Puzzle, but Iris’s bracelet as well for they are more interconnected than you know. Where one goes, so does the other. The only reason they are not in the possession of the same person is because, in the eyes or the magic, twins are the same person.”Well, I don't know about you but Mean Bakura is about to have his name legally changed to either Weird Bakura, Steve or Akefia.
I have no idea where that last one came from.
“Over my dead body.” I said.
“At this rate that is exactly what you will be.” Bakura said, his ring flashing.
A sharp stab of pain struck my heart and I screamed in pain.
“Iris!” Senior Yugi shouted. “What’s wrong? Stop this, Bakura!”
The pain stopped, but the burning was still there.
I needed to rest but I was unable to look away as the duel began.
But before I get into all of that let's do a headcount here.
Yugi has the Puzzle.
I have the Bracelet.
Pegasus has the Eye.
And Bakura/Mean Bakura has the Ring.
So what about the other four? What were they? Where were they? Who had them? And what could they do?
“Let this shadow game begin.” Bakura said as both players drew cards. “The first move is yours.”
Senior Yugi looked at his hand and played the Cyber Commander in defense mode, Tristan favorite card.
The card glowed and turned white as a little six inch figure appeared, decked out with weaponry and a familiar face.
“Tristan?” I said in awe.
“What a weird dream.” Tristan said, studying his get up. “Where am I? What’s going on? What am I wearing?” ” He turned and saw us. “Holy crap!”
“Bakura must have sealed his soul with in his favorite card.” I said, sitting up. I was feeling a lot better now that I knew the others weren’t dead.
“Who's your little friend, Yugi?” Bakura asked. “He looks tough but can he deal with this?” He played the white magical hat, which was 250 points stronger than Tristan, and attacked.
