Once again, I'm writing the Author's Note at the beginning of this chapter because the ending is really intense and I don't want to take away from it.
Please play Ross Copperman's 'Holding On and Letting Go' for this chapter.
Thank you so much for reading Falling For The Good Boy! :)

On Sunday morning, I woke up in an empty bed. I opened my eyes and looked around the room for Alek, but he wasn't anywhere to be seen. I threw the covers off of my body and walked out of the bedroom and into the kitchen where Alek was standing over a frying pan.
"Good morning," I said as I stood behind him. He turned around and smiled at me.
"Hey! You're up. I never asked yesterday, but how's Alice doing?"
"What?
"Her parents got into a fight so you stayed at Beth's the other night with her."
"Oh yeah, she's doing much better," I lied, remembering my fib a few nights ago.
"Glad to hear it," he said, turning back to the frying pan to flip the strips of bacon.
I pulled myself onto the kitchen's island and swung my feet a few times. Alek pulled two small plates out of the cupboard and placed five strips of bacon on each. He also pulled out two bowls, spoons, cereal and the milk. I hopped off of the counter and followed him to the table.
Alek slid a bowl, spoon, and plate of bacon over to me and I grabbed a strip and ate it right away. He slid the milk and cereal over and I poured myself a bowl.
"Did you run all the way to Beth's and back here?"
"Did I what?"
"Run to Beth's? The other night, I was shopping and you left, but your car is totaled. So you had to get to Beth's some way and you had to have had a way back."
I bounced my foot nervously. "Yeah, good exercise. I stopped by my place and got some clothes and then I walked back."
"You could've called me to pick you up."
"I would've, but then I would have missed out on seeing you without a shirt," I laughed.
Alek laughed too and finished the last piece of bacon left on his plate. I carried all of the dishes to the sink and rinsed them off before putting them into the dishwasher. I leaned against the counter and Alek put his hands on my hips.
"Is there something you aren't telling me?" he asked. My head was spinning at how close his face was to mine.
"You really need to work on telling me things after I'm asleep," I blurted.
"What?"
"When you think I'm sleeping, you say things into my ear but I'm not asleep and I hear every word."
Alek's face was red and he stepped away from me. "What have you heard?" He ran a hand over his face and I smiled a little.
"You said you missed me. You said that you know me better than I thought and you listed off things you've noticed about me. You told me that Blake wasn't going to forget about me or stop chasing me."
Alek's face was getting redder by the second and I held my arms out and he walked into them.
"That's really embarrassing," he breathed into the crook of my neck, sending chills down my back.
"I think it's sweet," I laughed.
"Yes, because every guy dreams of being called 'sweet'," he laughed, pulling away from me. My phone started ringing from the bedroom and I walked into the room to grab it.
