Chapter 20- Police

Eren's P.O.V

I stand behind Levi with my hand on his shoulder as we stand in the police office ready to report Kenny, this has gone on too long not for me, but for Levi. He has been hurt too many times before I was even involved. I see Levi scratching his hand under the front desk. He looks really nervous... His hand has long red scratches on and I can only imagine that hurts. I grab one of his hands with the scratches and squeeze it tightly. Levi sighs "I can't do this Eren" He says walking away. Still having a hold of  his hand I don't let go and pull him close to me. "Shh It's okay, I'm here okay?" He nods into my chest and I hear a cough. I look to see a female police officer smiling at us. 
"Who is Levi Ackerman?" Levi  slightly raises a hand and she motions for him to come through the back. Levi says I need to go and the police officer sighs but nods and we walk into the little room and she takes a seat at the desk.

"Okay, Levi wasn't  it?" Levi nods and she looks at me. "And you are?" She says softly. "Eren Jaeger" I say. She asks me to spell it out and I do so then she put the papers to the side.
"Okay, who's going to explain to me what is going on?" She miles kindly  and Levi quickly reaches my hand under the table. I turn to Levi and smile encouragingly.
"Um, I want to report a man called Kenny Ackerman." She writes his name down and nods. 
"Okay Levi by the looks of how tense you are right now I'm guessing this is quite serious" Her expression changes to serious. He nods shyly. "H-He u-um" He  curses under his breath and the police officer tells Levi to take his time. Levi looks over to me for help. I look at the lady to see she is looking at me too.
"Kenny Ackerman has been stalking and threatening Levi's friends and Family." I said bluntly and the police officer writes that down.
"Okay, stalking how?" I look at Levi and he nods. 
"Anyone who associates with Levi he has tracked down and taking photos of them at their workplace, school and home. He has been stalking me at my workplace at the aquarium and followed me down a street telling me to hand a creepy letter with photos of myself to Levi" The police officer nods and wrote that down. I turn to Levi and mouth 'Mikasa?' He nods.
"Also," She looks up at me. "Levi's 3 year old sister is being targeted with pictures from her in her school with her friends and also at the aquarium" The lady goes wide eyed for a minute but quickly goes back to being professional. 

"And this has happened to Levi also?" I nod. "And his friend Erwin, it's been happening for how long now...?" I turn to Levi. He looks down. "Um 2 and a half years" He says. The woman turns to him.

"Why is he doing this and why haven't you reported this sooner?" She ask confused. I turn to Levi and squeeze his hand.
"I um... my m-mother died 3 years ago from an incurable disease" He starts and looks down  tears slowly building up in his eyes. She nods and Levi carries on. "H-He was close with m-my m-mother a-and he thought I was the reason she didn't.... that she didn't..." He closes his eyes tight and lets out a breath. "She didn't survive, he  said he was going to make my life a living hell... that  I couldn't have anyone close to me for what I h-had done to his s-sister" The lady interrupts him.
"Mr Ackerman is your uncle?" Levi nods and she shakes her head writing it down. "So, why didn't you report this earlier?" She asks.
"Because Kenny... Is part of a gang and he threatened me that he would hurt all the remaining friends and family I have.... do you understand?" The lady looks taken back but nods. 

"Mr Jaeger what relation to Mr Ackerman are you" I think for a second.... what am I? "I uh... I'm a friend?" I question it and she turns to me. "You don't seem very sure of that"  I look at Levi and he just shrugs. "We are closer than friends but I guess we are still friends" I say through gritted teeth. Levi tenses up and nods. The lady eyes us and nods. "Ah, right" She pulls all of her notes together.

"Would you like a restraining order placed on Mr Kenny" 
"That won't do shit" Levi says looking up. The lady nods. 
"Just a moment" She looks through the computer and pulls up a picture. It's of Kenny she looks at us. 
"That him?" We both nod. She says she is going to find him and when he does he's binging him into questioning, if we can hand over the photos it would be appreciated. I reach down to a small bag we brought and I take out the box. She looks through the box.

"Are you guys okay...?" She asks after having a quick flick through.
"You want me to be honest?" Levi says scowling. The lady nods.
"I'm fearing for my family and friend's lives"  He says. The lady looks shocked.
"Suicide was always something I thought about miss police lady, but I didn't have any faith that Kenny would stop tormenting my family, please just help my family, my friends and my sister are the only things I have left" He states before walking out. I go to grab his had but he's too fast.  The lady turn to me looking determined. 

"Ill do everything can for Mr Ackerman, thank you for bringing this to the police's attention" I shake her hand and run out trying to find Levi. I run out of the building to see Levi on the other side of the road.  I lean against the wall and he just walks  back and forth. I'll just stand here and let him have some space. Suddenly I see a really sketchy person walk past Levi, he had a black hoodie that covers his face an baggy trousers with gashes in them...I lean off the wall just to make sure he's okay. He bumps into Levi and Levi mutters something I'm assuming wasn't polite and the man grabs his neck and pushes him into an alley. I sprint across the road almost getting hit by a car and I feel my heart speed up. I quickly peek around the corner to see Levi pushed up against the wall by a knife. I slowly walk behind the man and Levi notices me. I pull my finger to my mouth and he closes his eyes. I stop when I hear him speak.

"Why was the pipsqueak  coming out of the police station huh? Now I'm sure Kenny wouldn't like that  nod would he?" Levi's eyes widen and start to water. 
"Aw look the pipsqueak is crying boo hoo!" He shouts at Levi. I notice he places the knife close to Levi's head and a tear falls down his face. I go to grab his neck.
"Kill me, I dare you" Levi says. The man chuckles.
"Don't dare a fool" He says pulling the knife to his side but still pinning Levi against the wall. This is my chance. I grab the man's wrist that has the knife and push him against the wall and kick Levi out of the way. I pin the man up against the wall with the knife against his skin.
"EREN"I hear Levi scream in fear.
"What did I tell you Levi" I say having a battle of strength with the man on the wall. 

"I can protect you" I grit my teeth and chuck the knife out of his hand. "Levi, go! Get the police!" Levi nods quickly and runs across the road. 

"Y-YOU OF A B-BITCH" The man shouts kicking me in the stomach. I hunch over before quickly retaliating and punching him in the face. He screams and touches his nose and I see blood on his hands.
"Not so useful without your knife are you?" I smirk and kick him in the stomach and he punches me  before I pin him up against the wall again. I feel blood trickle down my face and I hear the loading of a gun.
"Trost Police force! You are under arrest!" The man runs up to me and takes the man from me and a woman walks up with a wipe. She hands me it and I gladly accept and wipe my bloody nose. I hear crying and running as I feel a large weight on my chest and very loud sobbing. I see raven hair under my head and my eyes widen. Levi is... sobbing. I tilt his head up to see puffy eyes and a soaked face and shirt. My eyes widen. "L-Levi" I say puling him into a tight hug  and he starts crying again repeating 'I'm sorry' over and over again. I shush him gently "Shhhhh" I say slowly rocking him side to side. "Lev, it's okay, look at me" He looks up at me and wipes his eyes. I cup his face in my hand and smile softly. "I'll protect you, I can fight Lev" He nods and cries again. "Ill believe you, Ill believe you" He cries and I carefully pick him up and walk home. When we reach Erwin opens the door smiling but it then turns to worry when he sees my bloody nose and Levi crying in my chest. I walk into the house and sit on the couch. Erwin rushes up to us and shouts. 

"Eren what happened?!" Levi just sits quietly on my lap.
"Some guy related to Kenny I'm guessing pinned Levi up in an alleyway so I saved Levi and fought the guy while Levi went across and got the police" Levi huffs.
"I'm such a pussy! I would have fought him but when he said Kenny I just..." Levi says glaring at the floor.
"I'm not useless... I can fight... I swear" I stroke Levi's head. "I know you can fight Levi, you're strong, everyone has a weakness, yours just comes in the form of your uncle, it's okay" He glares at the floor as I mentioned weaknesses . I look at Erwin to see him smirking at the position we are sitting in.

"L-Levi?" I hear a little voice say. Levi doesn't move his head, probably so she doesn't see he was crying.
"Levi needs a nap Mikasa, come on, I'll make you some tea how about that?" She smiles and nods coming over and pats Levi's head.  "Night night Levi!" She chirps and walks through the kitchen. Levi wraps his arms around my neck. "Please don't go" I look at Erwin and he smiles lightly at Levi and nods at me. I smile at him as he walks through the kitchen. I sit with Levi in my arms. This man has changed me so much
