Epilogue- Hi! I'm Eren!

Sooo..... Hi! I'm Eren Jaeger, your average 21 year old male, you know, finished school starting to adapt to living on my own...

And being a freaking full time mermaid! Haha but no I'm being serious. I'm a mermaid. I get payed to swim around a tank and smiling and blowing kisses to little kids. Okay.... I know that sounds pervy but I just like making people smile okay! I've just left school with like no qualifications. But if I'm a mermaid who needs good grades! 

Well... I didn't. And from that job I met the love of my life and all the little joys in life that come with him.

Eren's P.O.V

"Eren! Come on!" I groan quickly running down the stairs to see Mika in her school uniform waiting by the front door. 
"Alright Alright!" I shout grabbing the same red scarf and wrapping it  around her neck before grabbing my coat. I open the door for her and we walk outside. 
"Mika!" I hear someone shout. Levi runs out the front door with a small bag before handing it to Mikasa. 
"Here, your lunch" He says before half smiling at her and she returns it before kissing his cheek. 
"Thanks Lev"
Mikasa took on the nickname I made for Levi a couple of years back. 
She pulls my sleeve. "Come on! We are going to be late" I send a fake smile. 
Today was report day and somehow I got roped into taking Mikasa to hers and collecting her report because Levi had 'Something important to do'. When in fact he was just staying in the house all day. I huff and Levi kisses my cheek. 

"Yeah Eren, you are going to be late!" He adds and I send a playful glare his way. 
"Bye big brother!" Mikasa shouts and giggles before pulling me down the street. I huff and drown in my own self pity, since apparently nobody else would give me any! I even had work today! I send Levi a sad smile and a wave before I'm dragged down the street. 

I still work at the aquarium with Armin and Erwin, Hanji left on maternity leave as she is having a child with a man named Moblit. I don't know much about him, I have met him a few times but I wish them the best anyway. Unfortunately, Mikasa no longer believes I am in fact a mermaid and the day she came out with it I nearly cried, it was so much fun to pretend to be a mermaid all the time. I sigh as I take a look at her. She is too grown up now, 7 years old, 8 in a few months. 

Its winter again, nearly Christmas in fact, me and Levi are still doing great, Mikasa sees me as the fun big brother, the one who lets her get away with everything and life is great. Levi is the strict one but has opened up a lot and smiles a lot more. His smile is beautiful, the day he smiled for the first time at the fair felt like yesterday. 
The wind blows through my now longer hair as we walk through the streets towards Mikasa's primary school. 
She tugs on my hand as I realise we are standing at the gates infront. I smile lightly and bend down before enveloping her in a hug.
"I'll wait around the main entrance and I'll meet you inside okay?" I smile and she returns it nodding.

I walk through the main entrance to tables laid out all over the hall and Mikasa sitting at one with a teacher. I smile, Thank god she got the first appointment, I can't stay for two long, I'm already going to be an hour late for work. I walk over and Mikasa spots me and waves before speaking to her teacher. The teacher looks at me confused. 
"Are you... Mr Ackerman?" She asks and Mikasa looks at her funny. 
"No?" I chuckle. 
"I'm Mr Ackerman's significant other, he has... work today and unfortunately couldn't make it, So I came instead" I say ruffling Mikasa's hair and the lady frowns for a second before starting to go over Mikasa's school report. 
"Mikasa really is a girl with a big imagination. The whole class were amazed when we did a subject this year on myths and legends. She wrote an amazing story about a mermaid and how he fell in love with a human. It was very detailed and had a lot of thought put into it." I smile wide and look down at Mikasa to see her fiddling with her fingers and blushing. 
The teacher notices and giggles. 
"Here, we made you a copy" She hands over a bit of paper and I hold it while she talks me through the rest of the report. 
"We don't have many complaints about Mikasa, however..." Mikasa shuffles around in her seat but I just keep listening to the teacher. 
"She did start a fight with a young boy in our class, He was getting made fun of on the school yard, so instead of telling a teacher she decided to use her fists" She complained and looked down at Mikasa, who was hiding in the red scarf. 
Well that doesn't remind me of anyone.
