"Baaaaabe" Cleo whines as I focus on the game in front of me. I was determined to beat Michael just once.
"Huh" I grunt sounding like a caveman.
"Do you even remember what today is?" She lays her head on my shoulder sending my heart into overdrive. I look over to the beautiful blonde for a second. ONE SECOND. And Michael kills me.
"Ha! I win!" He chants getting up and flipping me off and walking off to the kitchen.
"Sorry." She giggles. Her giggle is adorable.
"It's okay," I laugh. "What were you saying?"
"Today. Do you remember what today is?" Her eyes look at my expectantly.
"Uh- well what's today's date?" I question.
"February seventh."
I think for a moment, i know it's something. Then it hits me, it was the day I made this wonderful girl mine. A wide smile takes over my face, "It's our anniversary."
"It sure is." She smiles leaning in for a kiss. When my lips meet hers my heart feels like it's going to bust out of my chest. "Happy one year, babe." She whispers against my lips.
I can't believe it's been one year already, time just flew by.
"Let's celebrate!" I cheer standing from my place on the couch. I wanted to treat her to a great night and show off my beautiful girlfriend. "Movie and a dinner? Wait, no that's too boring. Let's go to a club! It could be like the day we met." I recall that New Years party that blessed me with Cleo.
"What? Oh-uh actually, I can't. I'm busy tonight. That's why I came over now-" she pulls out her phone, "I actually have to go now."
"Cleo." I stop her by grabbing her wrist. "You and I both know you don't have to leave..."
She looks to the floor avoiding my eyes, "What's this about?" I ask.
"I-I just, I don't think we should go out."
"Why?" I ask stepping closer to her.
"I'm scared..." She says so quietly if I wasn't so close I wouldn't be able to hear her.
"Of what, baby?" We've been together a year and I've never seen her so.. Terrified.
"You know I'm not good with attention and stuff and your band is getting so big, if we go out and people see us, my face with be everywhere. And I-I love you, ash. I really really do but-"
"Cleo, it's fine. I understand." I cut her off. It hurt, hell did it hurt, I felt as if Cleo was embarrassed of me. But I shook the thoughts away quickly because I know what she was saying was true.
She was shy, always have been and she hated the public eye. She would always question how I could do the fame thing and I had to explain how amazing being on stage was. Although she accepted it she never liked going out or going to events with me. Which was fine as long as I had her by my side.
"Actually..." She starts, stepping back from me. "Let's go out."
"What? Cleo, you don't have to-"
"No, I want to. I mean maybe we can still try and be discreet, but we really should celebrate. We've been together for a year."
"Are you sure? Because we can just stay in and have a movie night like usual."
"No, we always do that. I want to try something new." She smiles, but it falters a bit. I'm not convinced and she'll probably back out last second but for now I agree and we begin getting ready for a night out.

Okay basically, Cleo is a very shy girl and has always been that way, especially since Ashton was famous. They've done a good job of keeping her under wraps so far but let's see what happens next ;D
