Can't or won't?

The moment the door opens Gabby is stunned by the sight.

"Um.. Is Jen here?" Calum asks.

"Y-yeah." She stutters stepping aside, letting the three band members walk past her. "Jenna your hot band member friends are here!" Gabby calls out with her eyes set on Luke.

Luke let's his eyes look Gabby up and down before smirking at the girl who is obviously swooning over him. Jenna enters the room in the process of putting her hair into a pony tail.

"Hey guys." She smiles a bit sitting with them in the living room, but not failing to see Gabby and Luke basically undressing each other with their eyes.

She shrugs it off thinking they'd be perfect together anyways.

"So what's going on?" Calum speaks up.

"Well you don't beat around the bush, huh?" Jenna jokes followed by a sigh. She knew she would have to talk to the guys, not only was the situation at hand killing her, but she hated not seeing the guys everyday.

"Jenna why are you avoiding ash?" Michael asks.

"Yeah, I thought you said you had feelings for him.." Luke adds finally pulling his away from Gabby. Jenna chuckles lightly before answering.

"Yeah, I do okay. I just- we slept together. Before talking about anything and I wasn't even sure what he felt for me. Then he remembered everything so I just thought that if he also remembered that Cleo was back that he'd rathe be with her.." She confesses.

"Jenna, he's going crazy."

"Yeah, because I'm his best friend but-"

"No, Jenna, listen" Calum says sternly making Jenna shut her mouth and just nod. "He cares about you, more than a friend. Before you woke up he was yelling at Cleo for trying manipulate him while he had amnesia. Then he chewed us out for it too saying how he was miserable with Cleo. He's over her, okay?"

Calum waits for Jenna's reply to show she's keeping up, she nods waiting for him to continue.

"He wants you, but now he thinks you don't feel that way about him." Calum's laughs that the continuous misunderstandings. "Now women the hell up and go tell him how you feel." Calum tries to demand, but instead Jenna frowns.

"Can you tell him for me?"

"What are you five?" Calum laughs.

"No, I just, I'm scared. He didn't feel this way before so what changed?" Jenna argues. She didn't want it to seem like she really didn't have feelings for Ashton because she did, but there was just too much at risk.

"He said he's felt this way since he woke up in the hospital, maybe even before, but he was too busy dealing with Cleo's bullshit to realize it." Calum tells her in a know it all way.

Jenna puts her face in her hands letting out a breath.

"Jenna, you have a hot drummer calling you every hour on the dot, what's holding you back?" Gabby jokes. Jenna chuckles at her friends choice of words.

"I don't know.." Jenna really didn't know why she felt so terrified of talking to Ashton. Her fear at first was ruining their friendship, then it was Ashton not feeling the same, but he proved that the night they had sex. So she was scared since he remembered everything he'd chose Cleo, but that's not the case.

He was choosing Jenna and she kept running away. Why?

"Jen.." Gabby tries to get her attention. "Is this about.. Him?"

The words made Jenna realize maybe she's running away because of the idea of yet another relationship going to shit. Things with her ex ended so swiftly she couldn't decide if she was ever really in love with him and if she rushes into this with Ashton she feels as if it'll end as quickly as it started.

"I don't know.." She repeats, but this time it was an obvious lie. She knew, now.

A phone begins ringing, Luke quickly pulls his phone out and his face pales a bit. "It's Ashton,"

"Well answer it!" Calum rushes.

"Hello?" Luke speaks into the phone after clicking accept.

"Hey, where'd you guys go?" Ashton asks in a sleepy voice.

"Oh, to get food, but we got caught up with some fans." Luke lies, Calum and Mikey give him a thumbs up signaling it was a good excuse.

"Oh, alright. Have you talked to Jenna?" Ashton asks shyly.

"Uh-" Luke stutters before covering the receiver. "He asked if we talked to Jenna."

"Say no, ya dip!" Jenna rushes.

"Hey, I'm not a-"

"Luke!" Calum and Mikey call out pointing to the phone.

"Oh right." He uncovers the phone before speaking, "Uh- no we haven't. Sorry."

"Oh.." Ashton says quietly like he's been let down. "Well if you do, tell her I wanna talk to her?"

"Will do." Luke reassures him.

"Alright, see ya later." Ashton tells him before hanging up.

"Jenna." Luke warns.

"What?" She asks innocently.

"You need to talk to him." Luke demands.

"I can't." She whines.

"Can't or won't?" Gabby buts in knowing her friend is being a wimp like usual. And she means that in the best way possible.

"Can't." Jenna lies.

"Jenna." The three boys say at once.

"That was weird." Jenna laughs trying change the subject, but not succeeding.

"Jenna." Now it was Gabby's turns.

"No." Jenna refuses.

"Yes." Calum demands.

"Nope,"

"Jenna!" Luke calls out.

"Fine, shit. Okay." She gives in with her hands up in defense. "Let me get dressed." She sighs standing and walking to her room to put on real clothes.
