"I'll go!" Heather almost immediately accepted. That's a little bit too quick. She quickly ran to Zeke's side.
"Alright. Who else?" he asked.
"Pass!" Ashley said.
"Me too." Rebecca said.
"Same here!" Crystal said.
"What about you?" he asked as he pointed at me. I shook my head. "Alright. Bye girls!"
"Well, now we know why there's a hostile aura earlier." Rebecca joked.
"Looks like you already got a rival Madeleine." Crystal said.
"Whaaaaat?" I said. They gave me teasing looks.
"Wait... no no no. I don't like him! It's just a misunderstanding."
"How do you explain earlier? You actually did try to hide the fact that you're gonna be one of his students." Rebecca said.
"Yeah! You were all over him when we got there. How did you get there before we did anyway?" Ashley asked.
"Oh come on! Not you too Ashley! The guy's not that great. Plus, you saw how he treated Tricia earlier, right?" I protested. Ashley giggled.
"Chill, Madeleine! We're just messing with you. Besides, out of all of us, you're the one who can actually catch his attention." Crystal said and then laughed uncontrollably. My eyes widened at what she said. And here I thought Crystal was the nicest. Oh well, it's just the beginning so I'll find out later.
"How can you even say that?"
"Oh... just a girl's intuition." she said with a big smile. After that, we stayed quiet for a bit.
"So, who's gonna bet with me that Heather just really wanted to design the house?" I joked. Rebecca and Crystal laughed while Ashley tried to stay quiet and just smiled.
"How old are you anyway, kid?" Rebecca said as she tried to calm herself.
"Sixteen. Why?"
"You're already in high school but you're still that naive? Oh, how I wish I had your life!" she said.
"Why would you want to live a life like mine? It's been great but, I'd say it's a bit boring."
"Let me guess. You haven't been in a relationship before, have you?" she asked.
"No. Is it that obvious?"
"Not really. I really just guessed."
"There's nothing wrong with not being in a relationship, is there?" I asked.
"I don't think so." Ashley said.
"You too, huh?" Crystal said. She nodded her head and stayed quiet.
"How old are you anyway?"
"Twenty." she said. She didn't like to talk too much, huh? That's gonna be hard when training starts.
"Oh... well, it's never too late for anyone. So don't just rush in if you don't feel like it yet, alright Ash?"
"I think we're forgetting why we're here in the first place." Rebecca said.
"What?" Crystal and I asked in unison.
"Food!" she said with her eyes wide. Ashley giggled again triggering our own laughters. We all filled our plates with food and started to eat. After about fifteen minutes, we all finished eating and cleaned up.
"So, what do you guys wanna do? It looks like we're free for the rest of the day." Rebecca asked as we rested in the den.
"Cards is always nice. Do you think they have cards in this house?" Crystal asked. We all looked at each other. All of us knew what's on the others' minds: "Who's gonna ask Zeke's dad for the cards?" The three of them turned to me at the same time. No! Look away! Look away, please!
