My body felt lighter, not as light, but a bit lighter than before. Maybe this is enough? I jumped up and saw their eyes widen. I looked down and noticed that I wasn't touching the ground anymore.
"Okay. That's not fair. Not fair at all." Heather said.
"Well, now we got three down. You two next." Rebecca said.
"I still find it unfair that she can do it just like that."
"But still, you try next. I'll rest for a bit first." Crystal said.
"Why? It's not like we already did a lot of things today."
"I couldn't sleep well last night. I had a dream of... uhh... never mind. Anyway, just do it Heather!" she said. What did she dream about?
"Why is this so hard? Hey kid, how did you do it?" Heather asked.
"Just channel your energy into your legs then try to jump. That's what I did."
"Really? That's easy then."
"But I already told you that!" Rebecca said. She closed her eyes.
"Am I doing it yet?" she asked after a few grunts and groans.
"Um, you should feel light." I said as I set my feet back on the ground.
"Really?" she asked as she opened her eyes, "Hey, how long do you think I've been doing this?"
"I think about ten minutes. Fifteen tops." Rebecca said as she sits down.
"That sucks. Crystal! You try. I'll rest for a bit. Maybe that'll help."
"Okay!" Crystal happily said as she stood up. Heather giving her a strange look. "What?"
"You looked so sad a while ago. What happened?!"
"Nothing really. I might have fallen asleep. I don't know." she said with a big smile. She put her hands together and mumbled something. Her arms turned pale and started to glow. The glow disappeared after a couple of seconds. She bent her knees a bit and jumped. Sadly, she landed on the groud without delay.
"Not what I expected. What am I doing wrong?" she asked Rebecca.
"Did you feel like there was air your legs?" Rebecca asked.
"Nope. I did feel lighter than my usual self though. Just like how Madeleine described it."
"That's weird. I felt like I had air swirling around inside my legs this whole time."
"Why didn't you say that earlier?!" Heather complained.
"I forgot. Sorry!"
"Well, it won't hurt to try both, right? Wait a second. Hey Ashley! How'd you do it?"
"Um, well. Just like what they said. I channeled my energy into my legs and that was it." she said as she, too, sat down.
"Well, three different opinions, but they all have one thing in common. They focused their enegy into their legs. Hmm... I'm gonna try something here." she said. A couple of breaths later and she's up in the air. "Whoo! I hoped that would work, and it did!"
"Now that's just unfair!" Heather protested, "Why am I the only one who can't do it?! "
"It's not really that hard, Heather. You just have to calm yourself down. You get irritated way too much." she said.
"I do not!"
"Yes, you do." Rebecca and I said at the same time.
"Fine! How do you calm yourself then?" she asked.
