"And now you're wondering how I answered your unspoken question, am I right? Like I told you before, you'll know in due time." Zeke said with a smug look. Don't tell me he can read minds. My eyes widened.

"Yes. The ability to read minds is one of the skills a high-leveled exorcist has. But I'll put that in the basics. As well as creating your own doppelganger, teleportation, power amplification, clairvoyance, enchantments and the exorcism basic." he said.

"But wouldn't that mean that we shouldn't talk bad about you? And what is it about doppelgangers? Aren't those harbingers of bad luck?" Heather asked with a high tone. It looked like she's pissed about knowing that he could actually read her mind.

"We'll call them DGs, then. Either that or would you rather call them entities? Well, I don't really read other peoples' minds. I just try to predict what would happen next and that's the result I get. But still, I'll teach you how to be able to penetrate the minds of others, and also how to shield yourself from attacks  that target your brain, psyche or whatever you want to call it. Just to clear up everything, I only use that power when I feel that I should use it."

"So you use it all the time?" Crystal asked.

"No! I only used it two times on you guys. The first when we just met, and the second when I started to explain things until I answered Madeleine's unspoken question."

"So, how can we trust you after you've told us all of that?" Rebecca asked.

"I don't expect you to. It's your choice  to trust me."

"Wait a minute. So how'd we even know if someone is prying into our minds?" I asked.

"You'll know the feeling after you've learned to read minds." he says. What did I get myself into? An awkward silence filled the air.

"So... shall we start?" he asked. I guess he didn't know how to read the atmosphere. I bit my lip, looked at him and nodded. Should I really be doing this? There's no turning back anyway. I thought his energy died down a little.

"Well, we're here anyways, so why don't we just go with it?" Rebecca asked.

"Yeah. Wait. Ashley, you've been quiet through all this. What's your opinion on Zeke being able to read minds?" Crystal asked. We all looked to Ashley.

"Um, I actually sort of knew about that ability of his. We've been conversing for a while now using his ability. I've been thinking up random thoughts and he just tells me through telepathy." she said.

"Is that the reason you've been so quiet?" Heather asked.

"Um, not really. I'm just not used to talking."

"I don't get one thing. How'd you know about his powers anyway?" I asked.

"I researched a bit about exorcists and his name is one of the top names." she said.

"Wait, um... you lost me at telepathy. What's what again? And Zeke is who?" Rebecca said, "I thought we're gonna be trained to be exorcists. What's with the telepathy?"

"Um, Zeke is a high-leveled exorcist. I just forgot which rank he's in." Ashley explained.

"Okay, okay, okay. Umm, how do I go about this? Regarding telepathy, it will help you work as a team. Unspoken communication is easier and is much clearer. Also, you can use it to read your opponents' minds. Giving you a very big advantage. There are only three thousand exorcists recorded that have this ability. Hopefully, we can add five to that number by the time this month ends." he said. He's now smiling again. The mood does seem a little lighter than before, but it looks like the others are still on their guards. And, since Ashley is okay with him reading her mind, then I guess it wouldn't do me any harm, right? I've got nothing else to hide since he probably already saw it. Read it. Whatever.
