"Hey Leine, you home yet?" my brother asked. I know it's my brother since he's the only one who called me by that name. He knocked again, and this time I stood up and unlocked the door. I heard the door open as I dove onto my bed.
"Where've you been, sis? You just up and left for the whole day. Mom got worried, but I told her that you're a big girl now. She shouldn't worry too much about you, anymore. She's asleep now, though. But still, it's too late considering the time you left the house and that you didn't even tell us where you went. Care to explain? Or should I wait until tomorrow?" he asked as he sat on my bed.
"A friend called me out. I couldn't say no." I said as I grabbed a pillow.
"Liar! You just went on a date with your little boy...friend." his speech slowed down as he noticed something. I turned my head to see what he's looking at.
"What's that?" he asked as he stood up. It's the paper bag Tricia gave me. I immediately let go of the pillow and tried to force him out of my room.
"I'll tell you tomorrow!" I said right before I slammed the door.
"I'll tell mom about this!" he shouted.
"I don't care! I'll explain tomorrow!" I shouted back. I couldn't really let him see the paper bag since the logo on it was of an expensive brand. Instead of thinking about what to say tomorrow, I tried to sleep even though I knew what would be in store for me again. I opened my eyes. I couldn't feel any part of my body. I was in a different dream, but it still felt as though it's gonna end up like before.
"Hey kid, you there?" a different male voice asked. He didn't feel like the one before.
"Yeah. I'm here." I told him.
"You can sleep soundly now. Don't worry." he told me. Upon hearing his words, I tried to see who he was, but I could only see a faint light in the corner of my eye. I decided it's no use, so I closed my eyes. The darkness felt cold, but I could feel a certain warmth wrap around me. I felt safe. I opened my eyes again and I saw that sunlight had already entered the room through my window. So far, so good. I stretched and rubbed my eyes. I sat up still a bit sleepy. I looked at the clock on my desk. It's already around nine o'clock. It's quiet. Guess they went to church. I stood up and went to the bathroom to wash my face. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, so I guess what that guy said in my dream was true. I went downstairs to check if my mom made any food. There's a box of cereal and a bowl ready on the table. I got some milk from the fridge and ate my breakfast. I washed my bowl then headed for the den. I watched some television and waited for the two to get back. A few minutes after I got comfortable on the sofa, the doorbell rang. Aww, just when I started to feel comfortable. I checked to see who it is. It's Tricia. She's smiling.
"Uh... how'd you know where I lived?" I asked, obviously dumbfounded by her sudden appearance.
"Unimportant! You just woke up, didn't you?" she asked.
"Yea. How'd you know?"
"You're still in your pyjamas. Or at least it looks that way. Anyway, get ready! Wear what I gave you yesterday." she said enthusiastically.
"Alright, alright. You can wait inside if you want to." I said as I headed upstairs. She sure is bossy.
"Okay. I'll just wait in the car." she said as she closed the door. I took a quick shower and headed back down wearing the black jacket over the white shirt, and black pants. I stepped out of the door, checking to see if I had everything I usually bring when I go outside. I have my phone and a small wallet. I hope that's all I'm gonna need. I saw a silver car parked right in front of the house. I didn't really know much about cars since I couldn't really dream of having one. I got in the passenger's seat.
