6 years after

Min Jae has been taking care of Soo Young quietly and considerably for the past 6 years. He was there for her through everything, the pre-pregnancy stages, the pregnancy, and after her daughter was born.

For the past 6 years, he accompanied her through nights where Soo Young just breaks down and cry. She always said she doesn't know why she was like that, but Min Jae was downright sure why. She still missed Sung Jae. Every day. Every Hour. Every second. For six years.

Soo Young was so grateful for Min Jae. Without him, she would have no idea what to do with her life. He was her best friend, and one that went through the hardest course of her life with her. When she prays at night, she would pray for him and his family as well. They accepted her when she was a pregnant wreck, and Min Jae's mother would voluntarily take care of her child while she worked. They even provided her a warm and cozy place to stay here at a village in Jeju-Do (Min Jae's P.O.B). She can't thank them enough.

Now. Let's get to the real deal.

This is Soo Young's daughter, Sami. - whom she named after the kitten she and Sung Jae saved six years ago. Sami very much resembled Soo Young. She had her big round eyes, fair skin, apple-kissed cheeks and thick perky lips. Sung Jae, not so much. Soo young thought their personalities were very alike though. Mischievous, smart, playful.....kind of devilish at times but so sweet and loving.

Because Sami didn't have a father growing up, Soo Young always felt bad. She always told her that her father was special, that he was from another planet. He visited earth in his red space car, met Soo Young, fell in love and had Sami.

Sami always carried around this beat-up radio, made by Soo Young out of recycled materials. She told her that this was what she used to communicate with Sami's dad whenever she misses him. There was only one disc in the radio, and it was the recording of the song she used to sang and play for Sung Jae. She told Sami that if she played the song, her father from another planet would know that she misses him. With that, Sami always listened to the song every night before she slept.

Sami was always bullied by this boy, Eunwoo in her kindy class, whose father has been trying to make a move on Soo Young ever since his wife left him. Eunwoo would tease Sami that she had no father and that her father from another planet story was all just a lie. One day, he broke Sami's radio, the only source for her to be closer to her dad. Sami cried and cried. Min Jae came to the rescue, of course. He has always been looking after Sami like his own child.

"Who said she doesn't have a dad!!" he very coolly said. "I'm her dad!!!"
"Nonsense! Sami said her dad was from another planet! So how could you be?!" stressed the kid.

"I'm her dad on this planet! and will always be until her dad comes back!" Min Jae very coolly said with a strict expression plastered on his face.

Min Jae then sent Sami home in his truck. When they arrived, he took out a fan that he bought for the mother daughter as they didn't have one at home.

"TADA! Now you won't get heat rashes during summer anymore!" *shows Sami the fan he got*

"Wow!! A FAN!!!!" shouted the excited Sami.

"Sami-ah just say you found this on the ---" Sami cut him off.

"Ara, ara (i know i know), on the street right?"

She already knew what to say because Min Jae has always been providing them with necessities and telling Sami to say she found it on the street in case Soo Young rejects it. Soo Young has already troubled him enough so she always refused his goodwill.

Min Jae carried Sami and asked her curiously, "Sami-ah, why can't I be your father? You know..I was the first one to hold you when you were born..."

"Andwae (Cannot), you are my Oppa-ya..." she pointed out. "Besides.. Ahjumma (talking about Min Jae's mother) said that you will be marrying Sae Ron noona!"

Min Jae's mother always wanted him to be with Sae Ron, a girl that she looked after since young who was very dear to her. However, Min Jae only saw her as his sister.

Back home, Sami asked Soo Young what was for dinner. Soo Young replied that they were gonna have kimchi fried rice, her specialty. She made it kid-friendly for Sami so it wasn't spicy.

"Again???? Omma, We just had it yesterday!" Sami whined slightly.

Soo Young gave Sami the doe eye look, telling her that they still had leftovers and shouldn't waste food.

"Since we always eat it when we miss daddy....alright!" Sami exclaimed, which made Soo Young smile.
