After a few days, Sung Jae went to the hospital to hear his final diagnosis. He intentionally sent Soo Young away so she wouldn't hear the bad news. He asked her to do him a favour and go for a check up. He was worried because she has been a little groggy lately.

After her check up, she went down to the lobby only to find Sung Jae's mom standing in front of her. They sat down at the waiting area. The mother then asked for Soo Young to leave Sung Jae. It almost sounded like a beg. She told Soo young that that was the only condition So Hyun's father will save Sung Jae. So hyun's dad was the first corporation in Seoul to invest in a medical equipment that could potentially raise Sung Jae's survival up to 40%. However, So Hyun and Sung Jae has to be together if not he will not help him.

Soo Young was in distress. How could she manage to take away Sung Jae's chance of survival? she thought to herself. She would do anything for him to live. Even though she loved him like crazy, she knew she had to leave for him to undergo the treatment.

She was silent for a long period of time, then finally agreed to Sung Jae's mom's favour.

Knowing that she won't be by his side for long, she took the initiative to ask him out on a date.
"Oppa, let's go on a date before the big day. For one day, let's not think about the tumour or the surgery. Let's have fun."

Sung Jae smiled at her request and agreed to it. He wanted to see her and spend as much time as he could with her incase he couldn't anymore.

The next day, Sung Jae and Joy went out for their date. There was no fancy dinner, no snuggling in the movies. Just walking at a park and sharing genuine laughter.

To Soo Young, it was the best date she's ever had. Because just being with him, worth more than diamond rings.

They then came across huge statue figures of cats at the park. It reminded them of Sami, who was now all healed and being taken care of by an old lady in the neighbourhood. They missed Sami so much so they took some pictures.
