She ran her hand along her black sequin dress that clad her fit body. People had always asked her how her body could be so perfect.
Her answer had always been the same, No pain no gain. It wasn't like she got a body like this for free, she worked her bum off. She didn't skip meals, that some had accused her of (how dare they?).
No, she worked out and she ate healthy skipping unhealthy foods as candy and fast food. Those kind of bad foods were unnecessary according to Mary.
She was fixing herself for a party that a friend of hers was throwing tonight. Her short brown hair cascading down to just below her shoulders. Her lips with a shade of deep pink and her honey eyes adorning a cat-flick eyeliner.
People always told Mary that she was the definition of perfection, or well the ones that dared to talk to her. She had kind of a reputation of being a bad girl, not afraid of telling you off if you are rude or getting in her way, but still succeeding in school.
She put on her low, white Converse, the ones she loved so dearly. Who says you can't wear sneakers with a dress? She always wore them, which is the reason of them being totally worn-out, not that Mary really cared though.
She made her way down the stairs of her home, shouting out a quick "bye" to her parents and then went into her car, Abigail. Yes, she had given a name to her car which she received for her eighteenth-birthday (half a year ago), how could she not? It would be like not naming your newborn baby, not that her car was new, no it was as worn-out as her Converse.
She sat down on the driver's seat, checking herself in the rear-view mirror, fab as hell. Mary then drove off to her friend Kate, whom she had to pick up for the party. When she was outside Kate's house she honked the horn.
"Let's go partyyyy" Kate yelled out the moment she had walked out of the door (more like ran out of the door.)
Mary had met Kate in first year of high-school, becoming best friends in a blink of an eye, they were like Dumble Dee and Dumble Dum. No, none of them were dumb, it was just that they couldn't be without the other.
It all had started off with a simple and awkward ''Hi, your name is Kate, right?'' from Mary's side.
Such a weird beginning for something oh so beautiful.
"Hell yeah, go hard or go home, right.?" Mary smirked at her.
"Right." Kate laughed out.
"Maybe 'right' will be our always." Mary said with the most sarcastic tone ever whilst fluttering her long lashes at Kate.
Kate being a major 'The Fault In Our Stars' fanatic just punched her best friend on the arm before laughing her adorable unique laugh.
"Okay, let's roll." Mary laughed just before she kicked the old engine alive by pressing her foot down.
----
The house reaked of alcohol and smoke, the music reaching the end of the block. Such a cliché college party. An obnoxius song Mary had never heard before on full blast.
"God, when will these parties start having good music for once?" Kate muttered, almost as if reading Mary's thoughts.
"Tell me about it." Mary responded sighing, rolling her eyes.
They climbed out of the car, walking side by side to the busy house. A random boy whistled at them which Mary responded by giving him the finger, they weren't cats for fucks sake.
They walked inside of the house, turning to face each other and then fist pumped, which they did before every party and important stuff.
''Let the party begin.'' they both said in unison whilst smirking.
