"What's happened?" Michael asked Luke whilst driving Luke over to his house, "and why aren't you wearing shoes?" He laughed.

"It's complicated." Luke mumbled, not knowing how to explain the whole thing with Calum, resting his head against the car window.

"Don't use that shit on me, just tell me." Michael snapped, he thought that he deserved to know since he had picked Luke up.

"Did you know that Calum had a girlfriend?" Luke finally asked after a while of hesitation and turned on his seat to face Michael.

"Oh.." Michael sighed, "Is that what this is about?"

"Well, yeah." Luke grumbled, his anger about this situation raising with the fact that Michael clearly knew but he didn't.

"It's not even a big deal, Luke." Michael sighed and let out a chuckle as if to prove his point.

"Yes it is, especially when I found out about it without Calum actually wanting me to." Luke snapped.

"What do you mean?" Michael asked and that's when Luke started to explain what had happened, from the awkward encounter with Kate to throwing his flip flops away and calling Michael for help.

"Tense." Michael muttered after Luke had finished telling him about the whole situation.

Michael pulled the car into the driveway of his house and turned off the engine.

"Yeah." Luke mumbled, not daring to look Michael in the eyes as if he would laugh right into Luke's face because Calum had told him but not Luke.

Michael was actually a really great guy and a friend but he had a different way of showing love. He would never tell his friends that he loved them, no, he would tell them that they have small dicks and he would occasionally hit them on their chests. But Luke sometimes mistook Michael's way of showing he cared for him, for Michael wanting Luke to fail in life or something. (Michael obviously didn't but Luke was, well, he was Luke and he thought everyone hated him.)

"Come on, Luke." Michael said, giving Luke a big smile and ruffled his hair and got out of the car, "let's go inside, it's too fucking hot outside." Michael said, and groaned when he felt blinded by the sunlight. Michael didn't like summer, that's why he usually stayed inside during broad daylight.

Luke got out of the car shortly after Michael and followed him inside Michael's house.

"Do you have anything to drink?" Luke asked Michael. Luke totally ignored the fact that he didn't drink, he didn't bother holding onto that anymore. Fuck sobriety, Luke wanted to get wasted.

"We have coke." Michael said after walking over to the refrigerator and checking inside of it.

"No, something stronger." Luke groaned.

"What?" Michael said, whipping his head to face Luke, Luke didn't drink what the hell, "like alcohol?" Michael asked surprised.

"Well.." Luke mumbled, "yeah."

Michael went over to his best friend, and put his hand on Luke's forehead, "Are you sick?" He chuckled. There must have been something seriously wrong with Luke if he wanted to drink.

Luke slapped away Michael's hand and let out a small groan, "Just get me something to drink already."

"Okay, okay." Michael said, lifting his hands to show that he surrendered.

"You go to my basement and I'll get whatever I find." Michael said to Luke and left him alone in the kitchen.

Luke rolled his eyes at the fact that Michael had left him alone, it wasn't that he hadn't been at Michael's house before, (because he had, at least a million times) it was the fact that Michael's dog always guarded the basement and Luke hated to admit that he was afraid of it.
