Mary and her parents had a talk. A pretty serious one for once.
It left Mary with watery eyes.
Her parents hadn't really yelled at her nor were they angry at her. They had honestly believed Mary's and Luke's scam.
They just said that they were disappointed at her and that they ''wished that they had found out in another way''.
And then they walked out of the door.
And Mary laid down on her bed, letting her tears fall freely, not caring enough to stop them.
Mary felt like a disappointment, she always did.
So she continued to lay on her bed and she continued to cry.
At the same time Luke was on his way to his friends, Mary never leaving his mind.
He and the guys had band practice. They were determined to take the world with storm with their band.
When Luke reached the garage they always had band practice in he saw all three of his best friends.
Luke usually was there in time, but today he had decided to skip it but since his and Mary's plan didn't take off he thought ''oh well, no point in skipping the band practice''
So when the three heard Luke clear his throat to get their attention all of them knew there was something going on.
''You're late.'' Ashton said, sitting on his simple drum box, his cajon, a shocked expression on his face.
''You're never late.'' Calum continued, kind of snickering it out.
Luke didn't know what to say really, they wouldn't believe him even if he did.
He didn't care though, because no one could take away the memories he had with Mary.
So Luke just shrugged and went to get his guitar from the ground, putting the strap around him.
''Had a rough morning, awful hangover.'' Luke lied.
Luke hadn't even had a drink at the party, he didn't really drink and his friends knew him well enough to know that but he wished that they wouldn't notice his lie.
''You don't drink, Luke,'' Michael laughed out, ''Why are you really late?''
''Had a good fuck?'' Calum laughed out, holding onto his bass that was strapped around him.
Luke hated the fact that they were all mocking him.
''In matter of fact, yes, I did have a good fuck.'' Luke said through gritted teeth, trying to keep his voice low, twisting the truth a bit.
''What did you say to make her let you fuck her?'' Calum was still mocking Luke, not really believing him.
''I'm a virgin.'' Michael said mimicking Luke's voice, but in a more high pitched tone.
''Fuck off.'' Luke muttered, knowing that he shouldn't take them seriously, this was how they treated each other, which was pretty fucked up now that Luke thought about it.
''Who was the girl?'' Ashton said, trying to believe Luke.
''Mary.'' Luke whispered, they would never believe him, Mary was too out of his league.
That made all of the three laugh, even Ashton with his sort of giggling.
''If that is true, she's insane.'' Michael said, still laughing his guts out.
''Lock her down, mate,'' Michael continued, ''Before she figures you out and runs away.''
''Oh god, are you in a band? Don't you play soccer?'' Ashton laughed out now, mimicking a girl's voice, whilst faking a disgusted expression on his face.
Girls didn't get impressed when they told them they were in a band, they wanted someone who played sports.
''Fuck off,'' Luke yelled now, ''Shut the fuck up.''
Luke had had enough, they didn't get to make a fool out of him. So Luke turned around and strode away with determined steps, his guitar still hanging around him.
''Luke,'' Michael yelled out to Luke when he noticed that Luke was angry for real, ''We're only fucking with you.''
But Luke was already too angry to listen, not turning back, just sticking his arm (that didn't hold onto the guitar) out from his side and giving them the middle finger.
Luke made his way over to Mary's house, which was pretty close to where he was now.
Time to set his plan into action.
