0.5 - Livin' on a prayer

''I think we are about halfway there now.'' Mary said smiling.

'What's my age again' by blink-182 played in the background, the sound a bit fuzzy since Luke had dropped his phone a while ago and damaged the speakers.

''Oh god,'' Mary shouted excitedly, ''It reminds of that song, what's it called again.. 'Living like a prayer'.''

''You mean 'Living on a prayer'.'' Luke laughed out, his smirk on full show, his arm still lingering around Mary's shoulders.

''Yeah, yeah whatever.'' Mary said after rolling her eyes dramatically at Luke which made Luke roll his eyes as well.

Luke took out his phone out of his pocket.

''What are you doing?'' Mary wondered.

''Hold on.'' Luke said, a bit distracted by his phone.

Mary got a bit annoyed at Luke, she hated when the person she hung out with turned all his or her attention to their phone.

That's until she heard 'Living on a prayer' being played now, replacing the previous song.

Luke seemed to know every word to the Bon Jovi song by heart.

''She brings home her pay, for love, for love.'' Luke sang out as loud as he could.

This made Mary laugh out, since he was making a fool out of himself to make her laugh.

It also made Mary notice that Luke had a great voice, not a voice you can hear from ever person.

''You sing?'' Mary asked, being curious on the mystery that is Luke.

''Kind of.'' Luke let out shyly, not singing anymore.

Luke didn't want Mary to see him any differently if she found out that he was in this stupid band with three of his closest mates.

Three of the four had started the band when Luke was only fourteen, and at the age of fifteen the fourth had joined the band since they'd needed a drummer.

It was Luke, who singed and played the guitar (he was the lead singer), Michael, who did the same as Luke, Calum, who was the bassist and sang and lastly Ashton who played the drums and sang, not as much as the other three though.

''You have a good voice.'' Mary said honestly.

Luke, still a bit weary, ignored Mary's compliment since he never knew how to respond to them.

''Woah, we're half way there

Take my hand, we'll make it I swear

Woah, livin' on a prayer.'' Luke suddenly started singing again along with the song, grabbing Mary's hand with his free arm at the 'take my hand' part.

Luke being a fool, was the Luke that Mary preferred.

Both Mary and Luke started laughing together, both finding the situation hilarious.

They had only met the same night, and here they were behaving as if there never was a time where they didn't know the other.

Mary started to feel a bit weary. Maybe she didn't want to make Luke just a one-night stand, maybe she wanted more than that.

Now when she had got to know Luke a bit, she wanted to find out more about him.

She didn't want them to part ways at an early morning, Luke probably leaving her home before she would wake up.

Because that's how things usually went when Mary brought home a guy for the night.

They were now at the block that Mary lived on, only a couple of houses away.

Their steps turned smaller, their walking slower, both dreading what the consequences will be but neither wanting to leave the other for the night.

Mary linked her arm through Luke's and turned both of them into her driveway in a hastily way, making Luke lose his balance and almost fall to the ground.

''Was that really necessary?'' Luke laughed out, still in a good mood.

Mary just shrugged and acted as innocent as possible, trying her hardest not to laugh.

Mary inserted they key in the keyhole and opened the door.

''My room's on the second floor.'' Mary whispered, afraid to wake her parents up.

Luke turned to face Mary and caressed her cheek with his hand while looking her in her eyes, and he did something he thought he would never dare.

He kissed her.

Ahh, what will happen? will they do the deed? will they part ways? Who knows? NOT YOU! hahah oh god I suck.
